Clean, quiet room. Lovely hotel.

Welcoming reception staff. A comfortable room and bed, marred only by a few stains on a slightly tired-looking carpet, otherwise pleasant decor. Spotlessly clean bathroom. Good choice for breakfast, continental or a variety of cooked versions with adequate coffe from a machine and excellent croissants. Convenient for the theatre, restaurants etc. Following previous stays here I was surprised to see that the restaurant and bar are now closed, but there is a small selection of room service dishes.

The room was clean and the king size bed very comfortable, we did not use the Spa. Breakfast was delicious.

Good central location on Grey st. Reasonably price and polite staff. However needs updating . Beds not very comfortable and rooms quite dark. Book in advance to get good offers.

A little dated in the bathrooms but a great find

The hotel location was perfect. Staff were unfailingly helpful & friendly. It was sad the spa wasn't available, but it didn't detract from our stay.

Staff were very pleasant and welcoming. The room was classed as Deluxe, but there was nothing Deluxe about it. Excellent location.

Good location, staff were friendly and helpful although could have told us if there was somewhere we could have had a quiet drink in the hotel they only told us about breakfast which was lovely, not sure if they are pet friendly and did not use tge spa.

Lovely stay. Big spacious room, comfy beds. Proper mugs for morning coffee!! The location is perfect for a night in the city. Breakfast was lobely, best pain au chocolat I've ever had!

Rooms was perfect, lovely breakfasts cooked to order which is better than any buffet. Grey street fantastic location first class.

Room very bijou shower needed attention on temp control if someone else used theirs in another room water stopped coming through your shower .Greeted by lovely young kind guy but younger female receptionists too busy on their mobiles didnt even say good morning to us when we did or eve or afternoon very rude both me & husband thought never had that before anywhere .

Everything was great apart from the noise level. Appreciate you are next to a busy junction and the building may be listed so you can't change the windows though. Best bed we've ever had at a hotel! And love the Newcastle artwork of Monument in the room.

Nice hotel, good location, but the suite has the bathroom on a separate floor. 12 steps up and down each time. Not designed for someone in their 60s. Room looks great, but very impractical

Cose to city centre,but above all,staff were excellent.
