Very disapointing experience. The breakfast was good, but the overall impression is that this hotel is not even close to delivering on its promises and certaintly not qualifies as a 4 star hotel. We are very experienced travellers, and we have enjoyed all other hotels we have visited in Italy. We specifically decided to book this hotel because of the gym. When we arrived we unfortunately discovered the “multi machine” was broken which they did not prioritise fixing when we flagged this. In Addition, we ordered food in the restaurant one of the evenings, and one of the meals included a chicken breast which was very dry. We tried to “fight us through it” but eventually had to inform the waiter. She did not seem to bother and did not even apologies. We had prepaid for 3 nights, but ended up leaving after 2 as we thought we had bought a 5 star exerpeience which was not true.

Lovely hotel with contemporary design just off the main train station in Certaldo. Clearly clean and well-maintained. The pool itself is tiny but useful enough for breaking up the summer heat in Tuscany.

La habitación muy cómoda, muy buenas dimensiones, el desayuno muy completo y un hermoso jardín para pasar el tiempo o desayunar. Tiene pileta descubierta y gimnasio pero no los utilizamos. El personal muy amable. Esta sobre una carretera al borde de Certaldo pero se puede caminar hasta el centro o Certaldo Alto, inclusive de noche.

The staff were excellent, especially Carim.

Hotel is quite aged, staff is super lovely and welcoming. Overall i don’t feel it is a good value of money but understand there is limited options in the area.

We stayed in a non-renovated room, and our first impression was that the carpet looked dirty. Honestly, this is not the standard we would expect, but in the end it is mostly a visual matter of paying for a non-renovated room. For a lower price it was acceptable, and we understood it that way. The service from all the staff was impeccable, and the hotel’s gardens, swimming pool, and outdoor lounges make up for the details of the room. Certaldo is a beautiful town with excellent food, and the experience of taking the funicular up at night was truly special. Overall, it was a very good stay, especially thanks to the kindness of the people who work there.

Utrolig bra service av alle arbeiderene på hotellet, spesiell takk til resepsjonen som hjelpte med taxi og anbefalinger, booking av vinsmaking på Poggio Alloro. Flott beliggenhet, kort vei til flotte plasser og spesielt fint å besøke Certaldo Alto.

We hade a wonderful stay and the service was extraordinary! The breakfast was so very nice and the kids love the pool area.

Our stay at Hotel Certaldo could not have been better. The staff were exceptional and enhanced our stay. We loved the breakfast of a wide variety of options & our dinner was amazing. We loved walking to town, rode the funicular for the spectacular view & then returning to our hotel to cool off in the pool. Sehr schönes Hotel, super zentral für Ausflüge zu den verschiedenen Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Toskana. Das Personal war unglaublich nett und herzlich.

This was a gem. Great stop spot between Rome and Florence. Staff was awesome. All services and amenities were great and our requests were easily looked after. Lobby and hotel in general beautiful. Dinner and buffet breaky were excellent. Very good quality meals and very good service. This place was a top stay for us and if the location is where you may be - you will not regret staying here. Easy free parking ! If you read many reviews and these are important for your decision making, then you will not regret staying here. One of the best !
