Lovely friendly staff, good location for exploring York - great value for money.

Very near the city centre, could have done with glasses in the room, Breakfast nice. Finally, it may be more prudent to place the older clientele (over 65) in the ground-floor rooms.

Very convenient, friendly hotel. Amazing kind and friendly staff, they manage to make everyone feel at home. Good breakfast, lots of variety. Judging by the amount of people staying, it is very popular. 5 mins from Minster and the Shambles area.

Brilliant location. Having parking on site was a great bonus. Walking distance to city walls with many tourist attractions, restaurants and pubs. Breakfast was really good. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent family run hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was cooked individually when ordered and not pre cooked left to dry out on the side. Only five minutes from the Minster so easy to come and go. Would thoroughly recommend.

Het ontbijt was fantastisch. Alles werd vers bereid. Uitgebreide keuze! De kamer was minder. Het was er echt super warm. We hadden ons raam helemaal open gezet. (Trip was in Maart...) gordijnen konden niet goed sluiten. Dat hadden we benoemd en ze zouden het verhelpen. Geen actie. (Later vermelde ze dat ze geen haakjes hadden, maar daar was pas toen we weer weg gingen) Badkamer kraan bleef lopen... Wel vriendelijk personeel, maar er waren toch veel kleine dingetjes niet helemaal goed.

Very well situated right in the heart of the city excellent breakfast. Great staff. Rooms cozy & clean. Been 3 times & will be back again...

The city walls and minster cathedral was 5 minute walk away leading straight to the shops restaurants and bars all within easy access plus having the car park is a blessing,the railway station and railway museum was about 15 minute walk away,the staff at the hotel where pleasant helpful and polite with no issues,the room was comfortable clean and warm so would we stay again yes with no issues

Lovely staff all round

Had a brilliant stay here with my son. It was super central, the bed was very comfy and room was very clean! All you need when you’re on a sightseeing holiday. Breakfast at the hotel was great value for money too- continental plus cooked breakfast if desired, all for £12.50 . The staff were always friendly and accommodating- the receptionist was lovely giving us recommendations for food etc x

This was our 2nd stay here & will be staying again. Easy booking in very friendly staff rooms have everything you need with plenty of replenishments example tea coffee biscuits left for you. Hotel was lovely & cozy excellent & plentiful breakfast cooked to order as well as fresh fruit bakery & cereals etc. There is a gated car park at the back so car left there is very safe. Only criticism was the bathroom mirror was too small & very high for me so couldn’t see in it but there were others in the room so not a big problem. Easy walking distance to city centre takes about 10 minutes. Stay here you won’t be disappointed. Lovey hotel & staff. Thank you York minster for a lovely stay.
