The room was nice but unfortunately no a/c or fan which was desperately needed in the current condition. We asked for a fan but didn’t get one. The shower is ridiculous boiling hot one minute freezing cold the next & the noise it made was horrendous! Beds ok but not as comfortable as Premier Inn beds. Lovely location if you have a car & the breakfast was good. Would i choose to stay here again, probably not!

Es war eine stilistisch eine wunderschöne alte klassische Unterkunft. Die Inneneinrichtung ist rustikal aber schön gehalten und passt zum Gesamtbild. Die Zimmer waren ordentlich und sauber. Das Grundstück ist riesig, worauf man noch einen kleinen Abendspaziergang machen kann. Das Frühstück war gut und es gibt genügend Auswahlmöglichkeiten. Das Personal ist super freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Everything was ok, but room very small. Food good but dear. I am in a wheelchair and accessibility was good.

Lovely place with well proportioned rooms and modern bathroom. Staff very helpful and the food was of a high quality.

Parking is a 2-3 minute walk to reception. EV charging points available. Bar OK Rest of the hotel needs some tlc, outside seating area not weeded, rooms need decor. Self service breakfast, food choices, but low quantity food. Bread in the bar snacks also very low quality, which is a real shame and you are paying hotel prices. Would have expected much better quality…

Lovely setting , room was nice but t no air conditioning.

Rooms to many spiders and cobwebs also too hot fan in room not powerful and full of dust which made me cough quite a lot not the best time for my two nights.

Wonderful place to stay. Restaurant staff couldn't have been more helpful with managing allergies and dietary requirements. Lovely food. Really calm and pleasant break.

Clean and comfortbale room. Good value for money. Excellent breakfast. Lovely location.

No warning about the jacuzzi not working, I was not best pleased about this. I came last year it was working, but I don’t think I’ll stay there again.

Hotel very tired and the rooms sub standard

This hotel turned out to be quite deceiving. From the outside it looked grand when you walk up to it, but in reality it was tired with a 70s/80s building on the side which is where we stayed. Branded as a spa hotel, the spa side was tiny, old and very dated. The pool was very small, the jacuzzi wasnt working and empty. The sauna was tiny, with a door that was hanging off the hinges and had scraped the floor. In the changing room, very few of the lockers worked. The room we had was very small but clean. Unfortunately there was a wedding the night we stayed, so there were lot of people about. What I can say about this hotel, the staff were lovely. They were all very friendly and polite, considering how busy they were with the wedding that was going on. The food was also excellent. It was just a shame about the spa.

The staff were excellent. They were really friendly and helpful and did the hotel proud. The hotel is in a nice setting and location. The bar and breakfast were good. It was lovely to meet Clyde the hotel cat as well.

The breakfast was great on the whole, although I would’ve liked a wider array of cheeses on offer and cold cuts of meat. It was really pet friendly and I brought my cavapoo so thank you. The staff were so kind and helpful, especially the sales manager and the front reception staff. They were very keen to help. I was really impressed with the location and the grounds which was ideal for doggies and the vintage heritage railway station and classic trains just round the corner at was a wonderful surprising bonus.
