We're welcomed by clutters of dirty dusty rusty standup fan and ironing board, very tippy and ready to tip and fall over on the floor and hit you, and it's right beside the door and under where you're supposed to hand your coats, very odd indeed. The photos on the website looks fancy, reality isn't... It is older than in the photo looks. Mattress is almost to soft without back support and my feet hanging at the end edge even tho i am short...they charge for parking $15 plus taxes, breakfast not included in $200+ hotel charge. Shower head has such a weak pressure only like drizzle, and leaking all night making noise waterdrop. Room is cold, cannot adjust the temp, so just turned it off. Very strange with 9.2 reviews, definitely not that high, maybe some paid reviews....location is nice just right at the waterfront boardwalk and sydney sign, but there are a few other hotels in the neighborhood as well for options...shampoo and conditioner bottles were empty...

Very nice centralized property, the hotel is a little dated, and the restaurant is a little limited in its offerings. When we were there for 3 days the AC wasn’t working so it made it a little uncomfortable , but I would stay again.

Hotel was great but was surprised that I had to pay for parking! First time I have ever paid for parking in Sydney NS!! I feel that was unnecessary!

Sydney was just a stopover for us on our way across to Newfoundland. In general I found it to be just that, and for this purpose, this hotel was entirely adequate. No complaints at all, the room was mostly like any modern business hotel, and the staff was quite helpful. It totally served its purpose and was comfortable, clean, and convenient. Just don't expect to have your socks charmed off. On the other hand, I'm not sure there is enough going on in Sydney for that to happy anywhere.

Really conveniently located both downtown and 20 minutes from the Newfoundland-Nova Scotia ferry. Very clean and modern hotel with access to a lovely walkway along the town's waterfront.

This hotel is located directly on the Sydney waterfront. It is beside NSCC campus and a short walk to the main commercial shopping street. Parking was available at an immediately adjacent gated surface lot but be prepared for an add-on $15/d parking charge. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Front desk was responsive to requests. Would stay here again.

Stayed at the hotel two separate times and both were good! Staff are very friendly. The second time the room was not cleaned as well as the first but the staff were attentive. Overall would stay again!

Nice location- rooms are very nice as well. Staff is friendly. Only downside is a sub-par coffee station and pay only breakfast. Pay to park is absurd. That needs to be removed.

We had a wonderful stay: great room (very clean and very comfy), great staff, great food, great location! We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel, and we will certainly stay there again next time we visit the area.
