Lovely hotel by the sea We stayed at the Langstone Cliff hotel before a concert at Powderham castle. We arrived early afternoon and decided to have lunch on the terrace overlooking the sea. Lunch was lovely and the drinks were cold. Having parasol’s kept us cool on a very hot day. Our room was lovely, quite small but had everything we needed and the air con was an added bonus. The travel to Powderham was easy and relatively quick with only a short walk to the station and then about a 15 minute walk to the concert. Breakfast was very good and service was again great. We didn’t manage to try the pool but it looked lovely. Highly recommend this lovely independent hotel.

The hotel was superb. I would call it quirky with everything covered. The staff were very accommodating, providing late sandwiches after a hold up in our arrival. Air con was superb and the pool very welcome in the hot weather. Clean and efficient made this a perfect stay.

Nice and helpful. Beautiful location and view. Outdated, could use newer beds and mattresses.

Staff very helpful and so friendly. Room was basic but clean. Lovely hotel with a warm , comfortable atmosphere. Lovely to see children and adults alike enjoying their time together. Will definitely return with our grandchildren next time !

Was very disappointed at being charged extra to park the car because we booked through Hotels.com. Only received a refund when we complained and pointed out that had I come and just bought a coffee I would have been eligible for free parking as I would have been considered to be a customer. But not considered to be a customer when staying overnight.

nice old building if you do not mind creaking floorboards. They really need to up-date their web page, is says free parking but it is not it cost £4 per day, picture of the room I booked showed a bathroom with a bath, no bath. It was clean but not perfect. Staff were OK understaffed at the bar took 10 minutes to get a coffee, and unfortunately staff argued with each other in front of customers because of this. like most things these days food and drinks were over priced, cost of the room was over priced for what we got. it was more like a B+B without the breakfast, which if we wanted would of cost extra.

Staff are very helpful and friendly, lots to do for children. Next to the beach and a cliff walk down to Amusements, rides arcade and Restaurant. Parking is in front of Hotel. Room has everything you need. Tea coffee biscuits etc Netflix and sky sports. We enjoyed our week very much

Wonderful staff, exceptionally clean , exceptional evening meals and plenty to do for my grandson. Have come home today after a 5 night break and i wish i was still there. ☹️

Lovely staff, great location and good break away

This is absolutely amazing!! The room is simple but spotless, the bar area, lounge area, restaurant area is fantastic!! The staff are really really lovely people who are really friendly and can’t do enough for you!! They have beautiful jewellery on sale and I’m gutted to realise I forgot to buy one!! The food is really lovely!! I recommend booking the breakfast and four course evening meal because it was so nice!! Not a bad thing to say about this hotel in all honesty!! Soft play indoor area with toys, pools, Wendy houses, two climbing and slide play areas, woodland areas for walking to the beach/shops/amusements/town. The little beach area is so lovely too with some great shops!! Definitely will be coming back and gutted we didn’t book longer

Nice comfortable rooms and service. Could not sleep very noisy in the bar area until past 2.30 am. Not good nights sleep unfortunately.
