Clean, comfortable, convenient!

Charged me twice for 3night stay having trouble trying to get a refund

Overall pretty good . The staff at breakfast were lovely . Disappointed that the bin in the bathroom hadn’t been emptied and would suggest that the bathroom door needs attention . However , would stay again if up that way .

Room was very clean and bed comfortable. We ate in the cafe and the food was lovely and staff very helpful. We also had a lovely countryside view from our room

Comfortable stay, welcoming and helpful staff, great value, with a good breakfast and other meals too. Ideal location for exploring this part of Northumberland.

Staff are fantastic Main part of the hotel, bar etc are clean and modern. Note the bar closes at 9.30 Room was very cold and dated cosmetically Clean bedding and comfortable beds and towels clean and good quality tho. Main issue we found ( 2 people in 2 seperate rooms booked ) The shower / hot water system needs a major overhaul urgently. Bathroom sink taps bearly worked. Mixer shower was also at best adequate I would class this as a trucker / work person hotel.

Service was up to the usual high standard

Purdy lodge is an older property but is well maintained and kept clean and fresh. Don't let the main road put you off, we didn’t hear any road noise as the rooms are facing the beautiful scenery at the back. Look out for the wonderful wild hares, bouncing around the fields. A joy to see. The staff were all lovely, friendly and helpful and the breakfast and evening meal were top notch. We will stay here again next time we’re in the area.

Food was great, staff super friendly and the price for a highway stop was low..

The room was lovely and clean and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Location very good for access to Bamburgh and the north east coastline. Would definitely stay here again.

Good location, helpful staff, tasty meals, clean room. Everything was great, we loved it. Only problem it is dog friendly. Next to our room was someone who had a barking dog. That evening wasn’t so pleasant. And two dogs barked at the bar loudly as well. Would be better to keep one part of the accommodation dog friendly another part not dog friendly. This advice would be for all accommodation to protect the people who hasn’t dog or/and has pet allergy.

Staff was amazingly helpful, room was clean with a really good views, breakfast was nice and fresh.

Staff were brilliant, food was very good and the price was reasonable. Only issue we had was the WiFi was poor, so streaming was buffering all the time and we found the mattress to hard. Was pet friendly and a great find. Lots to do in the area, and great beaches within 20 minutes.

Breakfasts were excellent as always at Purdy Lodge. Good choice & good value

The Lodge was very nice the staff were friendly and helpful central to Northumberland all and all very good place to stay

Clean and comfortable - what more do you want. Good food on site so you don't need to go out if you don't want. Ideal location for exploring this part of Northumberland with the coast, Bamburgh, Alnwick, Berwick etc fairly close. Easy to find, being right on the A1, but traffic noise was minimal and not a problem. I'll definitely stay here again when I'm in the area.

Staff are always fantastic. Friendly, helpful and efficient. Rooms clean. Beds comfy. Breakfast gorgeous and plentiful. Ticks all the boxes. Very dog friendly and they'll put you up a table in the bar with your dog so they can sit with you. We always use here. I can't praise them enough.

Food is fantastic here. Staff are friendly. Rooms are adequate size for family. Ample parking outside. Perfect location for exploring!

Convenient, clean and comfortable, with good options for eating, either in the restaurant or the cafe. The staff were welcoming, friendly and professional. I would not hesitate to stay here again when passing through.
