The view is stunning and the weather is HOT. This hotel is really well located at the tip of Livingston and high on the hill. But travelers should know that the entire feel of Livingston and this hotel, is rustic. This hotel is the best of what there, but it is quite basic. Though they appear to be renovating bit by bit. The resturant seemed to te be the newest, and the pool, much to my chagrin was out of service for repairs. (and they didn't tell us beforehand). There is a little "beach" letting out to the lake. It would actually be quite nice if they maintained it. It's in its own little cove. But it is pretty much left to to the elements so it's not suited for sunbathing or swimming. There are some hammocks and you can take some nice pictures. As for the rooms - again, quite basic and in need of real upgrades to modernize. But if rustic is what you are after, you'll be fine. They DO have good airconditioning in the rooms and cable tv.

Beautiful hotel, the air conditioning was great, wonderful staff, spectacular views throughout the property. Delicious breakfast, we absolutely enjoyed our stay and will surely come again!

It was convient near the dock

Excelente vista, la piscina está muy bien.

Un hôtel situé à 3 mn de l’embarcadère, certes un peu vieillot mais avec beaucoup de charme et qui colle parfaitement avec la vie à Livingston. Une vue magnifique sur la baie du restaurant et de la chambre ( demander le 2eme étage !). Chambre simple mais confortable avec un coffre-fort à l’ancienne et un balcon bien agréable ainsi qu’une salle de bain complète avec eau chaude. Les jardins de l’hotel descendent jusqu’à la mer avec un très grande piscine agréable. Petit déjeuner et dîner corrects. Service impeccable. Au final un excellent souvenir de Livingston.

It was a nice break from the heat when staying on the river. You can also pay by credit card which is nice because most backpackers on the river are low on cash since most places do not take cards. Spent one night - took the Garífuna cultural tour in the AM out of the tiny Dibasei office down the street- and now checking out for a 2:30 boat back to the river. Great clean rooms with AC

Staff courteous, amenities clean quiet, outdoor very nice the landscaping, overall well kept. This is my second time in this hotel for sure I ll come back and recommend to other people.

About the only decent accomodation in Livingston. Quiet!, great garden area, big pool, small private beach, cleam rooms with balcony and views, nice restaurant and friendly service. After staying at a very mediocre place, this one is a breath of fresh air. Recommend

Alles lief reibungslos. Villa Caribe ist eine Oase. Der sehr kleine Strandbereich ist schön und gepflegt. Rasenarbeiten wurden nach Bitte um Ruhe unterbrochen. Danke dafür! Der Pool ist ebenfalls gut (haben wir aber nicht genutzt - warum Pool, wenn man die Karibik hat?) Zimmer sauber, Dusche gut. Schöner Balkon mit Blick auf’s Meer. Wir glauben, dass Villa Caribe der beste Deal in Livingston ist. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Danke.

Terrible, horrible. Staff promised we could get a refund through hotels.com when were unable to make the boat crossing from Punta Gorda to Livingston, but either the hotel or hotel.com is reneging on their word and have not issued a refund even though we were unable to make it
