Superbe séjour en couple!

We went with kids because on the site it says they have a water slide but they do not specify it is only for under six years old my son ten wasn't aloud to go so you pay for something you can not use horrible

Very clean, excellent staff. The bed was hard I think a mattress update is needed. Other than that beautiful hotel, wonderful staff.

Okay but needs renovation

Tout était super. La seule chose, c'est que le climatiseur de notre chambre était bruyant. Nous avons passé seulement une nuit, mais aurions adoré en passer quelques unes. Nous allons revenir!

Belle grande chambre, lits confortables. Bornes de recharge rapide disponibles & bon restaurant !

This is our 3rd time here and it’s our favourite when staying in Quebec before going forward to New Brunswick

C’était très bien et en plus il y a un restaurant dans l’hôtel donc le souper était excellent et le déjeuner brunch excellent aussi avec le personnel très gentil.

The bed was obviously remade without clean sheets, smelled like other people was crumpled and there were about 20 long black hairs on the pillows and inside the bed and sheets on both beds and bathtub. The tissues were taken out then re-stuffed into the tissue box. The floor was dirty. The restaurant was overbooked and there were no reservations and room service was an extra charge. Most of the staff was helpful and polite but the man who brought the extra bedding did not speak English and was not helpful and did not bring enough bedding and acted annoyed at me even though I explained in my best French there was hair in the bed. I had to call again to get more clean bedding.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff was amazing , very friendly, The hotel itself was clean and very well maintained. The only downside was the restaurant while the food was very good and the service amazing. I found the price to be a bit pricey. Overall I highly recommend it and will be returning.

The rooms are comfortable for a one night or two night stay. Beds are comfortable. Bathroom was spacious and the tub was new. Rooms must have been renovated recently. The inside pool was however not as great we stayed here as a stop over and chose it because of the pool and slide, but so many people were in it and the chlorine labels must have been super high as the chlorine was very intense. A decent stay with the price I paid. But with the pool area was not as full.

Only downside was that the bed was a bit firmer than most hotels I've stayed at. If you love a firm bed then it's perfect for you

Lipstick on a pig. Staff were polite yet unfriendly; very cold. Booked this hotel specifically for the pool & waterslide for my kids. Went to use it the next morning and they only have a fully qualified lifeguard on duty from 2PM onwards so they were not qualified to supervise the waterslide. Made no sense. So you cant use the pools main feature on day of departure (checkout 11am). also no towels available in the morning. The arcade rooms' machine's were broken. Joysticks not working and air hockey table useless/ barely any airflow. The only half decent thing was the main restaurant. Room was cheap and shabby. Will not return.

Friendly staff, our room was clean, great location for travelling and nice that they had a pool for some fun and relaxation with the kids after driving all day. Beds were comfortable, the room amenities were pretty average but I did appreciate they had a nespresso machine. Steak frites on special at the restaurant was a bonus, pretty solid food there.

Wow! We stayed n the new section of the hotel. The rooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable. The tv has many options and there was even a bonus coffee bar area with Nespresso. The staff was very welcoming at check-in and equally kind at check-out. Because of our great experience here, we will look for more Hotel Universel properties in our future travels..

We arrived at the hotel with a line out the door to check in to our room, taking about 30 minutes to get to the front desk for our turn. Check in was slow once we got to the front as well. The line to check in stayed that way for several hours as well. A single elevator to get everyone up to their rooms was very slow and we waited for some time to use it. The room itself was standard, although definitely some wear and tear from over the years of use. Couple of things that weren’t great, wifi was slow and capped, tv channels are local cable but no indication of what the channels were from a guide, and little things that just didn’t sit right, like only 2 tissues left in the tissue box. The AC unit in the room went on every 5 minutes for 20 seconds, like clockwork. Luckily we only stayed 1 night as we were travelling through the area. This hotel seems like one that was fantastic in its prime but just has not been kept up to current day standards. Will not be staying here again if we come through the area.
