We booked this hotel for a romantic 2 night adults only getaway by the lakes.
The hotel itself is fabulous - clean and welcoming. Our room was perfect for our stay offering luxurious and comfortable accommodation and the breakfast on offer was superb. We booked the hotel as it was suggested it was an adults only place.
Unfortunately on our second day two families with children arrived and were staying in the rooms below ours - this meant we were woken from our afternoon nap to the sound of screeching kids and banging - it sounded like they were climbing the walls. On more than one occasion they were running around our car in the small car park to the rear as they visited each other in the two rooms below. Late in the evening on our last night our peace was short lived as we had to listen to them shouting to each other across the divide that separates the rooms, slamming doors and what sounded like someone urinating outside.
So, all in all a great hotel, with great service and food in one of the best locations to see everything. However, I would be reluctant to rebook unless I was assured of a child free stay.
