Room was clean and comfortable. Negative points- no air con (but a fan was provided) & it was quite noisy - banging doors and shouting til early hours (not hotels fault though!) Food was exceptional, as was the service. The buffet breakfast food was some of the best I’ve had- good quality & not stone cold like you usually get! All the staff were really friendly and efficient. As we got the booking for a really good price I am even happier.

When I booked the accommodation some moths ago I expected that my room was within the main Hotel building but disappointed to find out that my room was in the Paddock, a few hundred metres away from the main Hotel. The Paddock building is best described as ‘Travelodge’ type accommodation as it had the same cheap feel about both the building and the room, not what I assumed by the amount I paid!! The room was small and a cramped layout Also the hair dryer not working, Tower fan inadequate and noisy in the current temperature and an Item of clothing left in the room by previous occupier!!

Stayed 2 nights for a wedding. Overall good stay apart from mattress too soft, room was very hot and a fan had been provided which was no way near adequate. Complimentary bottled water in room would have been nice. Good buffet breakfast, everything you needed. Have an electric car. Website doesn’t say anywhere to bring your own charging cable to charge car. Have never had this issue before.

This place really needs an upgrade Staff behind the bar were very rude they act like they haven’t seen you waiting and will keep serving someone else even when you have been clearly waiting! service to Check in also was also a nightmare We had 3 rooms booked non of them were ready ended up going to the check in desk and kept asking as we a wedding reception at the same venue as the wedding. nightmare from start to finish…!!!

Whittlebury Hall is an excellent choice for a few nights of relaxation. We particularly enjoyed the indoor pool and steam room etc - very well maintained, clean and relaxing. More attention to detail required for bedroom cleaning. Menu excellent and plenty of choice. Staff in the lounge bar were excellent - very welcoming

The room was clean & the breakfast was very good. But we were in the annexe which is a long walk from the reception. When I asked where the room was, the person at reception just waved vaguely to the right & said ‘it’s down there’. My husband & I are mobile & fine with walking, but we were hauling our suitcases a long way, so be warned of that. There is extra parking there, but we weren’t made aware of that. The main problem was that the room was very hot & stuffy. There was a sort of fan which didn’t work very well. It had been hot weather, but the room obviously hadn’t been aired & you couldn’t leave windows open because we were on ground floor & there were people outside at night & going to the cafe early in the morning. Better air con or cooling needs to be priority.. didn’t sleep well at all because of that. Two out of the three table lamps didn’t work. We had to change the bulbs around.. quite rickety & old school. It was a very busy weekend just before Silverstone so the hotel was full & hectic, but I do think some basic maintenance & standards need to be upheld.

This is an events hotel with a very large number of guests. I had a room in the Paddocks which is a building outside the main hotel. The rooms have No Aircon, the windows barely open due to safety catches. The temperature in the room was unbearable. The fan which was suppose to help was of very poor quality and did nothing to improve things! It was so bad I assumed it was broken, but after maintenance came out they confirmed it was just a rubbish fan . The rooms also had very poor sound insulation, the floor boards above creaked terribly, which was unfortunate when the guests above were very active at 4am in the morning. Needless to say I did not sleep well. Breakfast was reasonable but anything cooked to order was at an additional charge. The dining room for breakfast was huge, with loads of people queuing for coffee from the machine and the buffet table. The swimming pool and changing rooms were well maintained, but the pool was too small for the number of guests even 10minutes after opening in the morning. I didn’t use the Spa or gym. The food from the Pub was good although it took a long time to arrive I was very underwhelmed by all aspect of this hotel, other than the staff who were all polite and tried their best to assist. I feel this hotel is overpriced for what it offers. given the cost and my experience I would not stay here again.

Nice location. Great amenities. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious but the air conditioning unit was absolutely useless. It was a very warm night and the air conditioner just did not make any difference. So did not sleep very well. The rooms are not very sound proofed so you hear every door slamming shut. The breakfast was extensive and very good with staff on hand to refill as needed.

Excellent staff

To be honest, I was extremely disappointed with my stay. My room was located in an outbuilding called The Paddocks, around a 500‑metre walk from the main hotel — not ideal, especially in bad weather. The room itself was in desperate need of updating. The carpet felt dirty, the bathroom was in a poor state, the wooden windows wouldn’t shut properly, and the door rattled constantly throughout the night. Overall, the standard fell well below expectations, and I won’t be staying at this hotel again.

We had a great stay. Helpfull staff, great pool and spa. The food was very good in the main restaurant. Looking forward to going back.

We were in the paddocks, bed was a little small and the safe was locked, did inform reception and credit to them they did offer to come out but we declined as only there for one night. Bathroom needs an overhaul, water took ages to warm up .

The staff were fab - helpful and timely.

They did not clean the rooms unless you request it up front. I found that rather poor, especially as we weren't informed that you had to request it up front, and on the booking it showed as Daily Maid service.

I found the room cold and the water pressure in the shower was not great. The pool was very shallow. The gym was okay

Schone kamer, oude authentieke Engelse stijl. hele mooie spa, goede sportschoolvoorzieningen. Eten in de bar was goed, maar weinig keuze. Personeel vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

After an amazing party in the afternoon we were unable to check until after 4;pm by which time no room on the lower floor was given as an option. The room is in the annex and described as a 2 minute walk. But that's not true for older people who have issues with walking. Once in the room which was hot. No heating was visible: the automatic fan and light combination was awful. Additionally no WiFi available. At 3am a red/green light started flashing which turned out to be the TV; eventually we found the off switch. Breakfast was greatly anticipated but sadly did not meet a 4star standard I can't even describe the black pudding. This was a greatly anticipated visit. I will try and see if it's improved in 6 months time.
