Served its purpose to kill an overnight near the Rome International Airport awaiting our long flight home, but not sure how it has received such high reviews. Our ground floor room looked out into a concrete courtyard, was an accessible room with a virtually unusable shower setup (at least for those not in wheelchairs) and had a very difficult vaccum push plunger to flush the toilet. Found a pubic hair on the bedspread and a long black hair on the bottom sheet when we pulled the covers back...yuck. Rooftop pool was very small and only open until 8pm, and they insisted on a shower cap to use it (which of course they wanted to charge for) despite it looking very dated with a yellow ring around the water level. And the complimentary beverage was a joke -- a tiny (perhaps 3 oz) shot of Aperol Spritz after which of course you could pay handsomely in Euros for actual drinks. Not much in the vicinity other than several fish-based restaurants as it is right beside an apparent fish dock. Airport shuttle should be complimentary as $7 Euro pp seemed high considering how close it is to FCO. The sauna and Turkish bath option (at $20 Euro pp) must be the reason people love this place, but we didn't get a chance to experience. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful, but we didn't get a friendly vibe at all from any of the locals in the area.
