A very nice accommodation, quiet and tidy, so friendly and helpful. 5 stars.

Basic but clean

The biggest pluses for the Princess Lodge are its staff and location. It's a lovely Edwardian building featuring magnificent timberwork in its staircases and other features. Continental breakfasts of cereal and toast, tea and coffee are included in the tariff. The staff are most helpful and engaging. The free bus service to the city and return can be caught from just across the road. Or for those who enjoy a walk, it's a casual 20-minute stroll into the heart of Adelaide. Several restaurants are within a 5-minute walk on O'Connell Street in the next block—ample parking for those with cars. We would definitely stay again.

The lodge is a lovely place to stay, beautiful old buulding with a community feel, staff were wonderful and very friendly, sadly on our second night, while smoking in the back garden another patron, a man came out of the back room and started threatening and abusing us quite vicously, he said he would gut us like fish, we were two women alone and it was terrifying, other than an abusive patron our stay here was very enjoyable would definetly recommend!

Princess Lodge Motel is in the historic North Adelaide suburb, surrounded by parks and historic homes. Parking is available on site. Free public transport is steps away, and more frequent public transport is a short walk away. As it is a historic building, each room is different. A simple breakfast is included with the accommodation. Reception is not 24 hours, so out of hours arrivals should make prior arrangements. Our room had private bathroom with shower only, a small kitchenette with sink, kettle, fridge coffee and tea, period characteristics furniture and a comfortable bed. The upper floor also has a communal lounge room. The staff was polite and efficient.

Bed was very comfortable. Room was clean. Shower was awful and hardly had any pressure. The rooms were not cleaned during the stay. I think patrons that were put out in the back shed were given rooms at a lower standard than in the main building

Not enough soap. Basin taps and toilet water were dripping. Basin could be cleaner aroundtaps

A great location, walkable to the city centre in just 20 minutes, 15 minutes to the Oval.

Room was nice, staff were excellent and very helpful with arranging taxis to around town.

I love the character of the building I could imagine when it was first built it would have been a real standout

Thats an old house, some renovations are due. Included breakfast is appreciated, although the coffee machine works 2 times out of 5.

Couteous staff, however the rooms and motel need repair and upgrade. The breakfast was not worth the name.

cleanliness

Didn't realise I have to share a bathroom. The walls are paper thin and I could hear the neighbour and the receiver on the phone clearly. The cupboard shelving is worn out and the window screen is ripped and old. A cheap hotel is what you pay for.

Hotel was nice and clean especially for its historical age. Location is also amazing with Main Street diners and restaurants at a few minute walk. Although it was a bit noisy as it is not sound proof and planes frequently flew over the building. Overall its was an amazing experience with a great breakfast, excellent location, and I would recommend.
