Seemed to have no house keeping services. Stayed for three nights and the room was never cleaned once, even after we requested it. Construction outside started at 8 am right in front of our room.

It was great stay, view from room was amazing, breakfast was delicious and staff was helpful :)

Don’t be fooled by the exterior. Very welcoming reception area and tentative staff with amazing views across the lake. Great food and choice at the bar makes for a perfect stay just a short bus ride from the hussle of the town

The bed sheets felt a bit tight, and it would be helpful if the rooms had a telephone to allow guests to easily communicate with reception when needed.

Hotel nice and clean. Evening meal really good quality. Full English breakfast not so good. Hotel informed us about building work after we booked. Not great should have informed us before hand

Staff very helpful , meal in restaurant was very good and not overly priced for a hotel . Breakfast just let it down .

The room and spa were both excellent and the staff helpful and friendly. The only negative was the breakfast, poor quality and the English Breakfast was cold.

We really like staying here, nice atmosphere and really relaxing, 2nd time we've stayed here and we will be looking forward to going back. All in all a really nice pleasant experience.

Absolutely loved our stay here! 10/10 for everything!!! Would highly recommend! We will be back again! The views as well! Even tho we only got the snug room the view from the restaurant balcony was exquisite!! I have to say the room its self was lovely!

Best place to stay in Windermere by far!

The location and views are amazing. Over looks lake Windermere and 10.mins in the car to Windermere on Bowness. The staff were lovely. The room lovely. Very comfortable bed. Loved the private hot tub. The Spa facilities really good. The outside spa is being updated so that was out of use which was a shame as the weather was so warm. Only criticisms were the shower cubicle tiles in our room weren't as clean as they should have been. However this was soon rectified once the staff were made aware. The sink made a gurggling sound after use for 5 mins or so but not major, and we would have liked black out curtains. It was dark but some light creeping in waking us up earlier than we would have liked They did offer us a free upgrade but we decided to stay in the room we had. As the upgrade was near the work being done on the spa and our room was lovely and quiet. Good job we took our own toiletries as they only provided 1 tiny tube shampoo and shower gel for 2 people for 2 nights. We did ask for more but none given. Think they forgot. For anyone with a mobility disability there are no lifts and not wheelchair friendly. Would have been useful to have had a fridge in the room to keep water cool and fresh. Breakfast was delicious and you could sit out overlooking the lake. Over all we had an amazing stay and we would definitely stay there again.

Staff were very accomodating and the views onto Lake Windermere were beautiful. The hotel is well situated with a short drive into Bowness and easy access to the other lakes surrounding. We really enjoyed making use of the spa facilities.

Hotel was going through refurbishment, so not there fault that all amenities available. But looks like hotel will be amazing when complete. Staff were excellent, food and drink superb, location perfect.

Beautiful clean room. Same goes for the communal areas. We had a junior suite, the balcony needs a little love but otherwise a wonderful space. The outdoor spa and outdoors areas were under refurb so I can’t comment on those. Very pleasant staff. Breakfast could have been improved but only due to the lack of options available. We would stay here again.

Fabulous hotel and location, gorgeous views and very helpful, friendly staff.. If I ever go back to Lake Windermere, I would not stay anywhere else!

Breakfast was disappointing meal at night was ok after returning 2 lots off steak as want d them well done but very pink in the middle never slept well as no air conditioning in rooms went away for a spa and came back knackered

This is a very mixed review. Everything I say here was raised with the management whilst we were there. First of all the positives. The hotel and room have amazing views. The staff are very helpful and the rooms are very clean. However for a hotel costing over £100 per night I would expect the following: the room to be cleaned and tidied every day. We were not told until I raised it that you have to book a clean before midday. They say it’s for environmental reasons, I would say it’s to save money. The internet is poor and they admit it. This is not good enough. Sort it! The bathroom has 1 small bar of soap and a couple of small bottles of shampoo. There is no where in the shower to put your soaps etc. the shower itself is amazing but having to bend down all the time is ridiculous. The breakfast buffet seems to run out of items and it took an age for them to replenish. One day it was orange juice then the next mugs and coffee. If they run out of croissants they don’t replace them. I thought the cooked breakfast was sub standard. We enjoyed our two nights and the evening meals were great. It’s a lovely hotel but they need to get the jiggly bits fixed. Until Then I will not return.
