The hotels is a fabulous place to stay, so much fun. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the house keepers work very hard. The hotel is in need of a refresh and there are parts that feel dirty because of this need but the rooms were kept clean. There’s lots of fun stuff and my kids loved it. The lady working at breakfast was so lovely and helpful the food delicious and a good enough choice.

I absolutely love the shankley and have stayed many times. Staff always make a lot of effort and are very attentive, welcoming and engaging. The room we stayed in on this occasion looked as though it needs a bit of an uplift, but still lovely as a whole and will always come back to stay here.

Highly recommended hotel. Super friendly staff that looked after our luggage long before our room was ready. The room itself was clean, spacious and has the best bath!! I will be coming back to this hotel.

The exterior and the lobby were amazing! The room was below average, and there was a lot of work needed to get the room to an acceptable level. If someone took over and cleaned it up and took some ownership, it could be a great hotel. Just needs A LOT of work!

Friendly staff massive room comfy clean beds lots of fresh towels some of the decor is a bit worn out but it was perfect for us! Roof top bar is lovely didn't eat there so can't comment on food!

The property was located in a great area -super close to the Lime Street Station and a block or two from a great downtown walk. Staff was helpful and kind, and the bones of the property were great. Our room was incredibly laid out and could have accommodated us for days. However, nearly every room had some level of physical maintenance needed; drywall damage, water stains, etc. For the high price, I’d like to expect higher standards for future guests.

There was a restaurant at the hotel but was never open. They also had a bar, but it wasn't open when the rooftop bar was. The rooftop bar, however, had no scotch or Baileys or very little of anything else. The shower was very small, had no curtains or shower door, and had a rainfall shower head. It was impossible not to almost flood the floor. They had no vending machines so there was nothing to drink but faucet water.

Great location. Good accommodations for a family of 4. Air conditioned is a big plus.

Great location to the train station and was able to check in early. Room was clean with a tremendous bathroom.

Lovely reception/breakfast room was nice large hot tub bath but it was difficult getting in and out for a shower Our room was hot air con not great but overall good stay

This hotel is amazing especially for any Liverpool fan or fan of the great man Bill Shankly. The hotel is central and handy for pretty much everything in Liverpool. The staff are really professional and helpful which goes a long way to making the stay enjoyable. We'll definitely be visiting again and I'd highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the great city of Liverpool.

Very nice room. Rooftop bar was awesome.

I stayed here on the 28th-30th May for the night before my wedding and the night of my wedding. i would not recommend this hotel. The Pictures online are fantastic but the room was very much falling apart. the floor had big gaps in and bubbles it just needs a good refurb to be honest, the mirror on the walls arn't even attached properly. My wedding dress was filthy and i only walked from our room down in the lift to reception it was so bad.

Comfortable beds, ideal location, big rooms and excellent staff. Stayed on a Thursday night to attend and event as a family of 3 adults. Check-in was great, room was ready early, we had intended to just drop out cases in and go explore so this was a bonus. The bathroom was adequate, but housekeeping need to focus on there a bit more, behind the door needs to be cleaned as well. There was an issue with noise in the night, we called through to reception and the issue was dealt with quickly and apologies offered by the member of staff we spoke to. In the hole it’s warm, safe and comfortable, meet our needs. And t has a party vibe, so would imagine weekends are lively

We stayed for sound city as a big group and i cannot say anything bad. We didnt eat there but the messages before and the way they welcomes us was 5 star.
