Outstanding staff! We stayed in one of the treehouse rooms and it was super nice! It was a very short walk through beautiful shrubs and plants to get to restaurant, pool and beach. We loved having our own porch & hammock.

Mariposa Beach Resort is a little slice of heaven in Placencia. We booked a tree house for 4 nights at Mariposa Beach Resort not really doing a lot of research but WOW, I am so glad we booked here. Our stay was fantastic and far exceed my expectations! We arrived early the day of check in and were able to check in right away and were immediately given a welcome drink, which was a nice touch. We then were taken to our tree house in the garden area, which was very spacious, had a fantastic covered porch, with a table for two and a hammock that overlooked their beautiful garden area, which well maintained and was very peaceful. The bed in our tree house was made up with flowers and greens spelling ‘Welcome’. The pool area was perfect (and useful since the seaweed had already invaded the beach when we arrived) and the staff serving at the pool bar and restaurant were super friendly and attentive. Because there are not very many tree houses and rooms at the main pool building, it never feels busy or crowded anywhere on the property. There are bikes available for use to ride into town, which we did several times to go to dinner or hang out at the beach in town. I like the fact that the resort is not in the hustle and bustle or downtown but you can walk or ride bikes into town if you want to try a different restaurant or go to the shops or bars. This is one of best resort stays we have experienced in traveling in the Caribbean or Central America!

Mariposa is a hidden gem. It’s quiet, spacious, and welcoming. It’s super conveniently located- the Placencia airport is about a 1/2 mile away, and the Village is about a 3 min golf cart drive. It would be a long walk. There are several markets to buy snacks and drinks in the Village, as well as great restaurants. Our room was not a treehouse and was in a sub-par location/ up stairs and behind a wall- it did not overlook the pool, beach, or jungle, but provided a nice escape after days of diving. Rooms are well stocked with towels, soaps, linens, mini-bar, etc and the AC worked great. The food was good- we mostly ate breakfasts. The bar offered espresso, as well as a variety of spectacular cocktails. They infuse rum with several different types of flavors- pineapple, habanero, ginger, etc- and make beverages to suit all tastes. Gladis is amazing! We had a couples massage in our room, which the GM, George, organized for us. All in all- I would choose to stay here again!

The grounds and treehouse room were beautiful. Every amenity you can imagine. Staff were helpful and kind.

Little away from main town but great resort & would stay again

This was one of the nicest resorts in Belize. The resort provided excellent service. The rooms were very clean and the food was delicious.

The resort and room were beautiful and comfortable. Its an 8 minute drive from the village. Staff were all nice. They are not stingy with beach towels like many hotels are.

Mariposa was a peaceful retreat. We stayed in one of the tree houses and enjoyed reading on the deck in the hammock in the afternoon. The staff were friendly and did a great job making it feel like home for the week.

The Treehouse accommodations were clean, comfortable, quiet and private. All of the staff were exceptional; very helpful and personable. It was a very relaxing and easy vacation with the restaurant on site.

The treehouse was quiet and very comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the deck reading and listening to birds.

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The room was spotless and beautiful. The entire resort was amazing as was the food and drinks. We loved the small resort rather than a big facility. The view was perfect also.

Great place. Jungle atmosphere with the cabins but very short walk to the beach. Staff very courteous & helpful. Would definitely stay there again!!

Prices in the restaurant were way to high

Staff was very courteous and helpful. We style in one of the « Treehouse «  rooms and enjoyed the covered deck. The restaurant had a limited menu but the food was excellent! Everything was spotless. The only negative was one night of noisy neighbors til midnight. The facility is a couple of miles from downtown so transportation costs can be high if you don’t use the complementary bicycles.

Loved this place! We were greeted with an offer of a cool refreshing towel and a welcome drink. The treehouse bungalows were so cool too! Very clean and accommodating. The staff was very accommodating as well, especially Marlin who drove us around town and even included friends that stayed down the beach. Oh, and this place is right on the beach with a beautiful deck, pool and beach setup. Great view! Would recommend this place to anyone.

Very clean, beautiful tree house. Staff are very kind and welcoming. Great location! And Beachfront! While we were there, the pool seemed a little dirty, but that may have just a one off thing. Everything else was perfect, beds and bathrooms were sparkling clean. We would stay again if in the area in the future. Beaches down the street are remarkable. Go explore, barefoot beach bar and Chillpoint were excellent spots!

The manager was kind and responsive when we checked in and the welcome towel and drink was a delightful surprise. We had a treehouse room that was beautiful and the natural decorations on the beds were amazing. There were many cute Instagram worthy places to sit and take pictures. The food was fresh, well prepared and nicely presented.
