This is a beautiful small hotel in the heart of the old town in Split. The rooms are spacious, cool, and freakily quiet (we heard a storm but we didn’t hear ANY parties or revelry despite the World Cup matches). The staff are extremely friendly, kind and helpful and made us feel at home, welcome, and at ease to ask questions or for advice. Important advice: Ask someone to collect you from wherever you’re being dropped off - do NOT try to find this hotel by yourself with your bags. We were met off the ferry and were SO thankful for the escort to the hotel. Split is wonderful and staying here makes it even better.

We enjoyed staying within the palace walls and staying at a lovely and quaint hotel like the Murum. The room was charming and the staff helpful and personal. The only challenge is navigating the stairs but staff is available to assist if you let them know. We’d definitely recommend it.

We stayed at the hotel on our honeymoon. The location is five stars and the staff were absolutely delightful. They made our stay very special. 10/10 recommend.

Murum Hotel is located inside Diocletian’s Palace in Split. We booked through Hotels.com, and while the hotel’s messages were accessible via the platform, communication was limited because our email address could not be shared directly. As a result, Murum attempted to contact us to offer luggage assistance and directions before arrival, but we did not receive the message while we were already traveling in Germany. Unfortunately, this led to a very difficult arrival experience. We ended up carrying two large suitcases and carry-on luggages through multiple stairways and narrow, confusing paths inside the old town. When we finally arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Lydia (short-haired), who handled our frustration with great professionalism and calmness. She explained that the hotel had indeed tried to reach us in advance to arrange luggage assistance, but communication had to go through Hotels.com. Her kindness and composed manner immediately helped ease our stress. The rest of the staff during our stay were also excellent. Our room was beautiful, it was efficiently designed with enough space for four suitcases and backpacks. It beautifully combined original stone and brick architecture with modern amenities. Breakfast was generous and of high quality. Murum Hotel delivered an outstanding experience overall, we highly recommend it. The hotel’s location is excellent once you know the access point. The Eastern (Silver) Gate is the most convenient entry.

This may have been my favorite hotel ever! So beautiful - the hotel, the landscaping, the decor, the outdoor areas. The staff was so attentive and helpful. The free breakfast was amazing and the other food was excellent. It was an easy walk to town. Highly recommend!

Beautiful, boutique hotel tucked away in the old town. Super helpful staff, nothing was too difficult. Spotlessly clean room & lovely en suite. Delicious breakfast. Highly recommended & we’re hoping to visit again in the future.

The staff and owner were incredible, very central location within the palace, actually the word Murum means wall, which the hotel was built into. Very cool Hotel and the Breakfast which is included was legendary.

The hotel was superb, the ideal location in the old town near Diocletian’s Palace, which was very convenient for accessing the tourist locations as well as escaping to when sightseeing got too busy. Excellent restaurants all around and easy location to get to from the bus terminal.

The property was directly in the middle of the Palace section of Old Town Split. The Staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating, they made our stay amazing!!

What a gem we found in Murum Boutique rooms! The staff was incredibly kind and helpful before, during and after our stay. The room was large and comfortable and had everything that we needed. The breakfast was very good with both continental and hot meal options. The location was spectacular. We would highly recommend this property.

The room was beautiful, comfortable, and clean. The staff went above and beyond to help with everything from private transfer from the airport, help with carrying my luggage through the winding streets of the palace, rearranging my ferry trips, and serving up a nice, fresh breakfast.

Location was perfect! Breakfast delightful. But, the most impressive part was the staff. I cannot say enough good things about this 10star staff who went out of their way every day to make our stay enjoyable.

We had a wonderful stay in this hotel. The rooms were spacious and clean and some of the walls were from the old palace- lots of character but modern as well! There was a good variety at breakfast with something different everyday. Eggs and pancakes were freshly cooked to order everyday. They even made us a special pancake dish one day as they saw that we loved pancakes! The hot chocolate was like melted chocolate - delicious. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would love to come back one day!

My wife and I had a lovely three-night stay at this charming hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The breakfast was fresh and delicious each morning. The décor was tasteful and respectful of the historic surroundings. Overall, a cozy place with great service—I would gladly return and highly recommend it.

Beautiful rooms and location; warm and super helpful staff. And one of the best hotel breakfasts you can get, small but much better than the bland buffets of larger hotels. Highly recommend.
