Only one person seemed to be about when we were checking in and she was serving at bar and answering phone as well. Nice big bedroom and bathroom but it was incredibly hot in the heat wave. We did find a fan in the wardrobe but it would have been handy if they had told us it was there. Had a drink in the garden which was lovely in the shade. Was hoping to try one of the pies for dinner that they advertise but they only had mince ones. I had fish and chips and my husband had ham and eggs, both were very nice but we had wanted to try the pies! Breakfast was cooked to order and spot on. Had to order what we wanted the night before. Waitress very friendly as were all the staff. No proper complaints. Would stay again.

A comfortable hotel with very helpful staff. I had a room facing the garden (Room 6) which, in such good weather, was a bit noisy late into the evening. Dinner and breakfast were good, but I would have liked some fruit with breakfast.

I stayed at the Silverdale Hotel for one night. I had a lovely warm welcome as I checked in. all the staff I had contact either were really helpful. The room was as described on the website. I had an evening meal which was all home-cooked to a very high standard as was breakfast the following morning. I would certainly stay at the Silverdale hotel again.

A great place to stay, particularly if travelling with a furry companion. There are many great walks from the hotel and easy access to beaches. The hotel is welcoming, the staff very friendly and the food is great quality, with mainly local ingredients. There is much to see and do in the area, including RSPB Leighton Moss, Arnside Knot and Arnside village which has good cafes and shops and great views of the Lake District.

The staff could not have been more helpful. Hotel is in a beautiful place, just moments from the shoreline. The room was lovely and quirky and the breakfast was one of the best we have had on our travels. Thank you.

Lovely homely hotel/pub. Staff very friendly and the food was excellent. Great location for a stop on the way to Scotland as not far off of the motorway. Beautiful area.

Parking in pub car park was easy as we arrived early. Had a drink in the bar and a walk to the shore before check in at 2pm. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Room was lovely with everything you need. Bed was comfortable, lots of extra bedding and pillows if needed. Bath was a bit difficult to get out of for us personally but would be fine for most people. Meals were delicious, we had breakfast, dinner and tea. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Great staff, clean room, comfortable bed and a decent shower. The curtains let in too much light in the morning but that's the only (minor) criticism - very happy with everything else

This hotel had a rating of 9.6 when I booked. It deserves at least that it is excellent. The staff are fantastic and the food is great. The ambience in the bars is superb. A lot of thought has gone into the decor to make this the most welcoming and relaxing place to stay.

It's the staff that make this hotel stand out , closely followed by the food ,which was apparent during breakfast no short cuts on quality, using local suppliers. The biggest surprise was the Saturday nights entertainment with a local group playing all the classics. Rooms in keeping with the traditional vibe that goes with the rest of the hotel.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast choice was good and evening meals were excellent and very good value for money. The bar and dining areas were spacious with comfy chairs to sit in and a relaxing atmosphere. It's a great centre for walking and cycling. Overall great value for money. We will be back.
