The Wellington Heifer was a great choice for our overnight stop. The welcome was warm and relaxed, the room large, clean and comfortable, with a modern bathroom. The meal on the evening was of a very high standard, but accordingly priced. You get what you pay for, after all. The breakfast in the morning was promptly served and, again, of a high standard. The check out was as simple as handing the key to the bar staff. Well done to all at the Wellington Heifer for making our stay very enjoyable. We will be back next time we need to stay in the area.

What a lovely inn! Our room was big and bright and we popped open a window for a little breeze while sleeping. The bathroom was recently redone and very nice. All the meals, including take away sandwiches for lunch, were fabulous and the staff couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful! Highly recommend!

Comfortable bed, good pillows and bedlinen. Excellent food, and superb staff who went out of their way to ensure our overnight stay was as good as could be. Northallerton is within easy reach as are the Dales and North Yorks Moors. We could not have had a better stay and would thoroughly recommend the Wellington Heifer.

Check in was really easy. Our room was really clean,and cleaned daily. Breakfast was really good and cooked to order. Evening meals of a great standard and well priced. All the staff were excellent and very friendly

We arrived earlier than check in ,our room was ready, we were taken up to our room by a lovely friendly lad,Room was very large, we went down to the bar,had a gorgeous meal,the bed was extremely comfortable and room was spotless, tea and coffee making facilities with lovely biscuits, breakfast was served between 8 and 9.30 again lovely staff,breakfast was a 10 out of 10,local produce and plenty of it .

A very pleasant stay, the accommodation was first class.

This was a lovely place to stay, you can’t walk to town but the rooms are well appointed, breakfast and dinner were very good and the staff were efficient and friendly. My only negative is the check in is 5.30pm which is late and not in line with many other establishments. 4pm would have suited us better. Overall very good enjoyable stay

our fourth stay here and if anything the food has got even better. Didn't manage to get our usual room, No.5, even so, an excellent stay.
