I do recommend the hotel when you visit Iceland! The location is good, it is near bus stop #4, so it is very convenient for pick-up, no matter traveling coaches or airport buses. The room was clean and cozy, and facilities were also satisfied what I needed. Staff were friendly and provided necessary info too.

Parking garage is so small very hard to get in & out.

Had an amazing stay at the Exeter Hotel!

First of all, the price was right! The location was perfect for what we needed… We did not use the room/maid service… Which you needed to tell the front desk if you wanted someone to come into your room… However, we had a coffee maker in the room, which was perfect. We did not opt for the breakfast option although I heard that was wonderful as well and having a bakery downstairs, the restaurant and bar would definitely have been a perk if we were around more. The staff that we did communicate with were lovely! I would most definitely return to this hotel it absolutely served our purpose!:)

Fun hotel in the perfect location to experience Reykjavik. Our room was on the small side, but it was still comfortable. We enjoyed our little enclosed box patio off of the room. Shower was great. Limited TV, which is fine because you're probably going to explore the city. Real candles and flames in the lobby! Bagel/coffee cafe in lobby is brilliant. Our stay was quiet and relaxing. This hotel offers a gym, sauna, and nightly activities. For parking, we elected to use a P2 garage around the corner for 3500 ISK for about 24 hours.

Overall great stay; rooms are very stylish, modern, and clean. Though the keycard and lights situation confused us a bit (we had to call the front desk for it) it was a tad bit unintuitive if I’d say

This hotel is a hub of activity for locals, not just visitors to Iceland. The restaurant and bar are frequented by a mixed crowd. Monday and Friday nights feature live jazz music with no cover charge. The hotel is well situated to the harbour's activities that are a reasonable walk, within a few kilometres, including restaurants, bus stop/transfers, attractions, etc.. WiFi is a reasonable speed for those who need it.

Loved the location of the Exeter! Regretted only being able to spend two nights there - definitely would have loved to have spent more time.

Great location. Fantastic food. The staff was so nice and helpful. We stayed at the beginning and at the end of our trip. Had breakfast there, coffee and pastries, drinks during live music night. Walking distance to all the highlights. Right across the street from the bus stop to get you to/from airport and other attractions. The room is basic but has everything you would need. Loved the towel warmer!

The hotel was great value, it was in an ideal location in Reykjavik. The bakery and bagel shop was an added bonus and was good value. My only gripe is why do staff members have to be so rude as was my unfortunate experience because I would not let them into the hotel before opening time, yet I'm not a member of the hotel staff, I didn't deserve to be ridiculed and spoken to as such in front of other staff and customers

Fabulous hotel with fantastic staff - especially the lady who welcomes you to breakfast, ask her anything, if she doesn’t know ( which she probably does) she will find out. Food was great and there is a popular bakery attatched - do try the amazing donuts! Location was perfect, harbour across the road, town a 5 minute walk away with most attractions walkable or a short taxi ride away.

They say first impressions count for everything and here it is really true. The 2 ladies on the reception were so incredibly friendly and helpful despite the fact we were 3 hours early to check in. One of them showed me the car park as I was a little unsure if I would be able to park a 4X4 down there (I could and did). They went above and beyond to help us. The property itself is inviting and warm with very clean rooms (we stayed in a suite which included parking). The bakery was incredible (DEIG) and so was the restaurant. We'd stay here again next time for sure

We had the best time at Exeter - clean, modern, great location, good service. The Junior Suite was a nice treat!

Snyggt hotell som kändes lite sjavigt. Trasiga plattor i duschen, toalettdörren gick inte att låsa. Vi reste väldigt tidigt och frågade om vi kunde få med en frukostpåse men det gick inte, lite snopet. Väldigt bra läge.

We stayed here for five nights and it was amazing. The room is in excellent condition. The hotel was always clean. The receptionists were very professional and courteous. The breakfast was the usual continental breakfast. I really enjoys the food at the Le Kock restaurant. Jazz music on Monday nights..very entertaining. Highly recommended.

Wonderful staff. Genuinely interested in our visit.
