Great room, comfortable bed, all very clean.

The receptionist was kind enough to let us park our car while we went up to Sugarloaf early in the morning. All the staff are very friendly. We had our dinner at their restaurant. Fish and chips lovely and cooked breakfast was very nice. Lovely view of the mountain from our bedroom. Room is very spacious,nice and clean. Bathroom is lovely and clean. Looking forward staying here again.

The room was very small. Would have been better as a single room with single bed. Furniture is tired and damaged. TV on wall had to be pulled out and turned to face bed, then you couldn't walk around the room. The one chair in room was dirty. No views of hills as in advert. Bathroom tiny. Shower head holder missing and bandaged in place. Shower tray didn't drain and you were quickly stood in 50 mm of water. A lot of noise from next door's doors opening and shutting. Not an easy stay. Plenty of electric sockets. Staff were nice and friendly.

Room was functional - a little bashed in places and could do with some modernisation. Breakfast was ok - not sure it is worth £18 if you are only having a small breakfast such as pastries / egg on toast etc. Very good location if you are looking to clim sugarloaf

Everything was great thanks. Even when the boiler went down briefly all was reassuring.

Overall it was fine. I was hoping for a better bistro type menu. The choices were very heavy on carbs and fried food. Can't blame that on the pub but on the Marstons chain. Given the disappointment in the restrictive menu, the food service and presentation was very professional and reasonably quick. The staff were all pleasant and helpful and made me feel most welcome.

Loved the location, just outside of town, quiet, plenty of parking. Would absolutely stay again!

I booked into the hotel, allocated my room and I thought I would watch tv but there was no tv, the picture was pixelating so I went down stairs to tell them about it, a young manageress said she would come upstairs and show me how it worked but she couldn’t’ So she said she would move me into another smaller room, costing £90 a night with NO breakfast, I was in the military for 18years so I love to have clean rooms, I am afraid it went downhill badly, you will see what I mean by the included photos, I felt sorry for the cleaner who was doing everything on her own

Third time we have stayed at the lamb and flag , i do not usually leave reviews, the staff are friendly and helpful, lovey place can’t recommend enough, all I can say is try it you won’t be disappointed

Slow check in. Room is functional. Bedside light didn't work. Soap dispenser in bathroom virtually empty. Shower get dispenser broken. Lots of noise from bathroom of next door room. Plenty of tea, coffee and milk. Tv fine. This is a convenient hotel for my purposes but it is overpriced at £85 per night single occupancy.
