I had an excellent experience. The landlord, Qin, was very enthusiastic and helpful in solving our problems. The property I stayed in was located on the first floor, right next to the reception. The room wasn’t very big but was cozy and warm. It had a bathtub with plenty of hot water available. The Wi-Fi wasn’t lightning-fast, but it was sufficient—I even managed to host a phone meeting one morning. The bed and bedding were exceptionally comfortable and clean. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, including self-serve berry muesli and yogurt. It was a flawless experience with nothing to complain about! Highly recommend everyone to check out this property!

It is good overall. The only drawback are a little bit far away from train station and expensive.

The hotel itself is very cute. Parking in the back is very tight so you should be comfortable with that. It is nice that it’s free! My biggest issue was the “air conditioning” i specifically booked the room for. It did nothing to cool the attic we were staying in. Fortunately there is a large roof window we opened and ended up being cold which was perfect. Just be aware the top loft room is an attic with angled windows and the bathroom wall isn’t complete so you can hear EVERYTHING. But if you’re okay with that, the beds are comfy and there’s a fridge with water.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Free parking but a little tight. Breakfast with a small fee was excellent. Sink and refrigerator were nice. 2 free water bottles. 10-15 minutes from city center. The room in the loft was not good at all. The ceiling on some parts were so short so I hit my head twice. No window. Only one small skylight

Lovely place and so convenient

Conveniently located within a 10 min walk from the York train station. This BnB was cozy and quaint. The hosts were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great value!

We arrived late in the evening during a heat wave. No in room AC, but a shower, windows open, and a fan kept us cool. Worth noting, The place is a small family owned boutique hotel. Breakfast was made to order plus a small buffet and very affordable. I think it was 25£ for the 4 of us all together. Very close to the train station. We had a nice time and the staff were helpful and polite.

Great hotel, located in a good walkable area

Lovely stay. Room are a bit small, but include sound proofing windows and a fan (if needed). Plus, guests are allowed to use the downstairs ‘lounge’ area when it’s not breakfast time. The owners are super friendly and helpful. Property is very close to the train and city center.

Clean and comfortable and within easy walking distance to the city centre. Having the fridge and mictrowave in the room was very convenient for keeping snacks and meant we didn't have to eat out for all three meals. Danielle and Tarquin were helpful and gracious hosts. Would highly recommend The Apple House.

Extremely pleasant and helpful staff. The noise level in the room was low, and the rooms very clean, and staff provided clean towels daily and free refreshment.

Fantastic hotel and super friendly staff

Comfortable room. Convenient location, about a mile to main areas and a bus stop out front if you don't want to walk. Really appreciate being able to leave our car before and after check in.
