位置就在海邊，可惜我們訂了海景房，但飯店有在施工，窗外都是鷹架很影響觀感，而且室內燈光太暗了。 但整體人員都很親切、服務很好。

Very old hotel, room condition is not good. TV is not working. Only location is good to go to Harbour.

The room was gorgeous looking out over the water. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Good location. Good breakfast. Good sized rooms with a fan in hot weather

Fantastic large family room with everything that was needed. Great location and views. Good breakfast and friendly staff. Downside was the lack of parking. The hotel has a small private car park that is a first come service. Be aware that if you drive in looking for a space, your car is registered on the cameras but not registered leaving the car park again so you get charged for every night you stay even if you parked somewhere else (just check before paying). Otherwise a very pleasant stay and would definitely go back again.

Nice size room wouldn’t class it as a delux room needs upgrading carpet had lots of stains on bathroom clean sink had crack in shower panel at bottom coming away did report to reception was waiting on new sink staff on reception and bar and dining room very friendly

We have been going to the royal over many years, it is a fantastic full of history hotel, our recent visit surprised us on how much work had been done to the hotel in a very positive way, we also noticed that it is now attracting younger people which is brilliant the staff are always lovely and the location is perfect, more work was underway and we look forward to seeing the results on our next visit which is only in 3 weeks time with our daughters and grandchildren, unfortunately due to being on a budget we won't be having Seaview rooms 😪but I'm sure we will still enjoy our stay, we only had breakfast which was very good

Lovely stay only problem was the heat in the room even with the fan on the room wouldn't cool down and unfortunately the windows didn't open. But apart from that lovely stay

The hotel was clean and comfortable and offered a great atmosphere. The staff were extremely gracious and helpful. The restaurant and bar offered a great menu, and the food was delicious. While the hotel is not air-conditioned, the temperature was still comfortable. There are quite a few stairs involved in getting to the various wings of the hotel.

We had to wait till 3pm they said our room wasn't ready till then. The reception area is nice with fancy paintings etc. Our room was outdated and roller blind in bathroom had bit mould on. I wouldn't stay here again as too many steps to climb to get there.

Fantastic hotel, the decor and pictures we're lovely! Breakfast offered was anything you could want, all cooked really well. Staff very friendly and professional.

Once we sorted the parking from help at the reception we found the room to of good quality. Nice and modern with fresh bedding etc We had a lovely sea view room. Unfortunately we never used the restaurant or bar but the seating outside had a great view and all looked great

When I arrived instead of the Deluxe room I was offered a family room which was in a basement with high brick walls out side a very dark room. They did change the room back to a Deluxe room on the second floor which was perfect. But when I booked I was under the assumption that I was booking Bed and Breakfast at £125.16 per night.....apparently not so. That was an extra payment . I had booked two nights parking at £6 per night on check out they wanted to chare me £8 per night. Although they did then only charge me £12. I would stay there again but I would double check Expedia booking process to ensure I was getting what I thought!!!

From the moment we arrived till we checked out we found the staff extremely helpful, our room was cosy clean and well maintained, Clean towels were provided daily and bedding was changed upon request. Breakfast was great with a continental theme or cereal and your usual fry up which i must admit i enjoyed. the bar was well stocked with a great choice of beers, bottled beer, wine and spirits. The restaurant menu was very nice with the usual meals found at bars etc. Food was well cooked and waiting times were very good. Overall i would highly recommend the hotel.

Love the Royal Hotel. The renovations look great & the family room just perfect for us. Fantastic breakfast. Staff very helpful. We will be back to stay again.
