Good to have a coffee shop right next to the hotel

We had a generally excellent time in the Kettle Valley Beach Resort. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was spacious and very clean, with ample towels for our stay. The location was excellent and we never had any problem parking near to our room. There are plenty of good eating options on the doorstep and the lake is a 1 minute walk from the rooms (10 seconds from reception!). The only negative was the lack of black-out blinds, meaning that the sun came streaming through our windows at around 05.00, having already been light since 04.30. The curtains are thin and light the light through, and the sun shines through the gaps at both sides of the window, as there is no way to block the light; I was assured that the property was in the process of purchasing black out blinds, but this has clearly been a problem for many previous guests and I'm not convinced this has been addressed, as it takes two minutes to order online! Other than that, we had a great stay and the rooms on the other side of the parking lot are North facing so would at least not get the sun shining through in the morning.

We were extremely disappointed with our stay at Kettle Valley Beach Resort. Unfortunately, the property was nothing like it appeared in the online photos. The cabin was dirty when we arrived, with bugs on the floors and walls, and there were used, dirty washcloths hanging in the bathroom. The overall cleanliness was so poor that we didn't even want to take our shoes off inside. The entire place smelled old and stale, making it feel anything but comfortable or relaxing. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable—like sleeping on a concrete block. Considering the price, we expected a clean, well-maintained, and comfortable place to stay, but it fell far short. We ended up spending as little time in the cabin as possible because we simply didn't enjoy being there. When we brought our concerns to the staff, the only solution offered was to have someone come vacuum and remove the dirty washcloths. We were also told, "This isn't supposed to be a hotel experience," which was a disappointing response given the amount we paid. At over $1,050 for two nights, this stay was nowhere near worth the cost. We left feeling frustrated and very disappointed. We would not recommend Kettle Valley Beach Resort to others and would never stay here again.

It was the peachiest car show and I texted staff re road closures and they got right back to me with the proper info!!

Location cannot be beat! Room was very clean and pretty comfortable! Windows could use blackout blinds or curtains, or, alternatively, allow guests to turn off the very bright outside porch light… staff at hotel was very friendly and accommodating… staff at coffee bar was also very nice and latte and blueberry muffins were so yummy! Thanks for a great stay :)

We loved the location and truly appreciated the recently remodeled bathrooms, but there were definitely some drawbacks. First, the air conditioning unit, which appeared to be pretty new, was quite loud. Every time it cycled off or on throughout the night it woke us up. Second, the window coverings didn’t block enough light which led to lots of daylight coming in at the crack of dawn (roughly 5 am in June).

Lovely location right on the beach. Quiet back bedroom. Our coffee machine leaked, but this was a small issue. Loved the coffee shop/bar Sociale at the end of the property!

Personal nicht vorhanden. Alles nur per Mail abgelaufen ist befremdlich. Dunkles kleines Zimmerchen, für uns nicht passend. Wir haben die Unterkunft nach 1 Nacht verlassen (2 gebucht) obwohl wir es frühzeitig gesagt haben, bekamen wir keine Rückerstattung.

Clean rooms

Very clean hotel/motel - the room was spotless and the grounds were tidy. However, the rooms looked a lot more upscale on the website than what we saw when we arrived. Certainly not as advertised. The kitchen was small, and sparsely equipped. Security light shone all night long and lit up our room like a disco - no blackout curtains or blinds, which interfered with the quality of our sleep. The beds were very uncomfortable and the bathroom had room for literally one person. Although the rooms recently had a refresh-paint, decor and the bathroom appeared to be completely remodeled, the infrastructure (electrical, plumbing) did not receive an upgrade which was somewhat frustrating. For example there was a lack of plugins for charging devices, repositioning fans, etc. The staff was outstanding and very responsive - always ready to answer questions or to troubleshoot issues. Location was excellent - across the street from Okanagan beach. Parking on site was tight especially with the large number of half ton trucks that were present. Bottom line - while staff and cleanliness were superb, the rooms were overpriced for what they offered. We view this property as a very old hotel with a bit of lipstick. We will not be returning.

Cute little hotel that obviously has history but has been renovated very nicely and feels quite modern. Nice courtyard area with bbqs and a firepit. Would have liked a hot tub out there too! Would prefer the lighting options in the room not to be that stark cool white that so many are nowadays- but instead a warmer glow for more coziness. Maybe blackout blinds for the bedroom. Water takes a long while to heat up for showers but that is noted on the in-room info card. Once it is warm, the showers are lovely. Check-in and out were super simple. Parking lot should have the second exit open at the back so that larger vehicles don’t have to do a ten-point turn to get out. The applies during happy hour at Sociale restaurant were amazing and the staff very attentive and friendly. The beach is right out front (across the street) and the sunset to die for. We visited on May long weekend and the neighbourhood had a nice laid back vibe to it that wasn't too crazy but I imagine would be quite the party area later in the summer. We will be back!

This is a hidden gem! We will absolutely be back next time we're in Penticton.

This is one of the best accommodations I have ever experienced. It is very clean and quiet, with a truly energizing environment. Highly recommended!

This is a very nice 2 star motel. It is well maintained with everything we needed. Easy parking and at the end of the strip on the lake with walking distance to lots of restaurants/bars. The bed and pillows were decent. The furniture is functional.
