There was visible mould on the ceiling. The room smelt strongly like mould. The hot water on the bathtub constantly trickled, causing a constant disturbing sound. The baseboard heater had no cover and some electrical outlets had no covers as well. We found used razors behind the couch upon trying to plug in the fridge that was not plugged when we arrived. The internet was not strong enough to reach our room therefore we could not use the tv they have included in with the room as they also don’t have any cable channel options. A couple doors down, there were people partaking in illegal substances. Police were constantly patrolling the area, when we approached them, they admitted they receive a lot of disturbance calls to the address. When we spoke to the owner about the issues with the room itself, disregards our concerns and shrugged his shoulders. I do recommend this place. It’s a major health hazard.

Et le mots est faible, je ne recommande absolument pas à personne, de plus le propriétaire du commerce a un gros manque de professionnalisme, a mon arrivée il était tard et c’était inacceptable meme inapproprié de louer une chambre dans cette etats, je suis aller voir le monsieur pour lui mentionner il je parle pas francais et tres peut anglais, d’une insolence incroyable il ma fonmer une bouteille de nettoyant pulvérisateur pour que je me débrouille je ne pouvais pas canceller parceque l’option de cancellation était impossible a cause j’ai reserver sur ce site. Je ne conseille le motel rideau a personne , c´est trop sale , les toiles d´araignées partout. Je gerant pas accueillant, je check in etait a partir de 13 h c´est ecrit dans le site internet. Quand je suis arrivé à 17h je gerant m´a fait comprendre qu´il n´y a pas de chambre libre.Que je devrais attendre . Je lui ai demande d´annuler ma réservation il a refusé il m´a dit que je serai facturé. Et je constate effectivement qu´il a prélevé de l´argent sur ma carte . Je conteste cette transaction avec la dernière ennergie. Sur le site internet on voit les photos des chambre propres . Pourtant sur place c´est un vrai poubelle. Même l´endroit ou les animaux habite c´est plus propre que ce motel je donne une note de 0 sur 10.je vais contester cette transaction sur ma carte de credit.je vous conseille de ne jamais aller dans ce motel car a votre arrive vous allez regretter.je demande a expedia de demande a motel rideau de me remettre mon argent qui a ete preleve sur ma carte. Sinon ca sera de l´arnaque venant du motel rideau.

Malheureusement, notre séjour a été très décevant. Les murs étaient sales et le plancher était couvert de poussière. Les serviettes de bain remises à la réception étaient lavées, mais très usées et avaient une couleur jaune permanente. Nous avons préféré ne pas les utiliser. La télévision ne fonctionnait pas, même si elle était indiquée comme étant connectée. Les portes et les fenêtres sont très vieilles et laissent entrer les moustiques. À notre arrivée, le réceptionniste nous a demandé un dépôt de 60 $, même si notre séjour avait déjà été payé par carte de crédit. Cette exigence n'était mentionnée nulle part au moment de la réservation. J'ai refusé de payer ce dépôt et, finalement, il a accepté sans insister. Pour plus de 100 $ la nuit, le prix est beaucoup trop élevé pour un hébergement aussi modeste et mal entretenu. Malheureusement, nous n'avions pas d'autre choix que d'y rester, car il était trop tard pour trouver un autre hébergement à la dernière minute. Je ne recommande pas cet établissement.

Don’t get fooled by the pictures like i did. To say the place was as vile as walking through the sewers is an understatement. Unknown / solid substances were all over the walls. Advertised TV didn’t work. The bathroom was beyond covered in mold, we didn’t even brush our teeth ti’ll we got to Tim Horton’s the next morning, and felt too uncomfortable to use the toilet. We removed the fitted sheets when we found little punctured looking holes in it and felt weary about it. The pictures we took gives it absolutely no justice to how slimy and icky it felt to spend the night there. We heavily debated just sleeping in the car. And definitely some child labouring is going on as well. With our time there, it’s easy to tell that this motel is struggling and the last thing i want is to drag someone who’s already down, but paying what we did in a place where you theorize the Very possible idea of people renting rooms to get high and shoot up in is just plain robbery. I wouldn’t even go there if i was paid to again

I had a very disappointing experience at Motel Rideau. Unfortunately, the room was not clean when we arrived. There was hair all over the bathroom floor, and the bed had visible dirt on it. We ended up cleaning the room ourselves before we felt comfortable staying. The room was also poorly maintained. The phone wasn't working, one of the light bulbs was not working, the shower head was missing, and there wasn't even a microwave in the room until we specifically requested one. What made the experience even worse was the lack of customer service. I accidentally booked a smoking room and emailed the motel a day before our arrival to request a change because my child has asthma. I never received a response. When we arrived, I politely asked if we could switch to a non-smoking room, but the owner simply said there were no rooms available. I then asked if we could stay for one night and cancel the remaining nights, but he refused, saying there would be no refund and that it was "not his problem anymore." I understand that booking policies exist, but I was hoping for some compassion after explaining my child's medical condition. Instead, the owner was dismissive and showed no willingness to help. We stayed only because we had no other choice and would have lost all of our money. While I understand mistakes can happen, the lack of cleanliness, the poor maintenance of the room, and the complete lack of empathy and customer service made this a very unpleasant stay.

Sauvez-vous de ce motel. Choisissez le motel Champlain en remplaçant. Un peu plus dispendieux mais de loin plus salubre et confortable.

Pour commencer les chambre n’étais aucunement comme sur les photo, moisissure au plancher, luminaire non fonctionnel, lampe de chevais 1sur3 de fonctionnelle et elle avais un globe rouge.. mon charger 60$ de dépôt mais on rembourser seulement 50$ en argent et on dit que le 10$ restant allais être remboursé sur la carte mais n’a pas été fait. Coulisse sur les mur. Il fesais environs 40 dans la chambre a mon arriver et la thermo pompe ne climatisais pas la pièce. Pire motel que j’ai essayer a vie.

We need a restaurant

This property was very unhygienic and unhealthy for a stay. The place looks haunted in the night. There are no lights outdoors. Bed sheets were not clean, dirty floor and mold in the bathroom. There were flying insects in the room. We literally spent the night in distress and left early. Expedia should ban this motel. There is a significant discrepancy between the marketing photos shown at check-in and the reality of the accommodation. Ours was a terrible experience. There is only one person at the front desk who seems to be the only staff at this motel. There seems to be no cleaning staff or maintenance staff. He too literally ignored me and went away when l complained for the bathroom cleanliness.

Day 1: ac not turned on so started it and opened door to clear the musty smell and cool the room. Clogged toilet (which they tried to have mr locate their staff to fix, they reluctantly advised the staff and 30 minutes later the toilet was unclogged) You get what you pay for. Was able to get the rook to about 25 degrees with the aid of the rain. Bugs dead on wall. Day 2: came back to room being 35 degrees. Advised staff but they had sold out of rooms. Blamed me for not telling them sooner. Gave me a full refund and i went somewhere else.
