Room was in a loft, VERY hot and stuffy. Asked for a fam or something, was not available. The bed was on wheels on hard floor, so kept moving throughout the night. VERY uncomfortable sleep. Bathroom had dark brown and purple marks on the mirror and hair on the floor. They have a pool table downstairs, but you have to pay £5 per hour for. They have a coffee sign outside, but no coffee. Would not stay here again, disappointing.

TV had no picture but staff very prompt in responding and fixing. Very friendly staff. Prepared with safe place for me to store my cycle, as requested when booking. Comfy bed (although it slid on the floor when you got on or off which was a minor irritation). Great shower, very clean room. Some complimentary tea/coffee, could have done with a few more. All in all, a very nice example of a budget Hotel. Would use again if in the area.

Room was nice and clean, but very very hot, might’ve considered leaving the windows open to ‘air’ the room a little TV ok but tucked up in the corner of the room, maybe an angled TV bracket rather than a flush wall mounted one. Very basic Kettle and very small, needed to be boiled twice to make 2 decent cups of tea Something to possibly consider, get slightly better tea/coffee making facilities and other bits & bobs in the room (table lamps etc) would’ve made what was a nice stay a more enjoyable one A huge car park at the rear as well, plenty of room to park, it looks like this is a recent purchase and is a work in progress, so understandably not everything tickety boo, just maybe a few small improvements in the rooms and all would be very good 8/10

I've stayed here a couple of times and it's a pretty good hotel, it's basic and could do with a couple of pictures to break up the white walls in the rooms. My room was clean and tidy, clean bedding and a decent size. Although it definitely needed maintenance to go in and give it a bit of a going over. Curtains needed re hanging and for some reason in the middle of a hot spell the bathroom heating was full blast... Reception was friendly. I would happily stay again when I'm working that way.

Clean and functional room at a great price. Not much in the way of hotel amenities (no snacks, drinks, bar, restaurant etc.) but only a 20 minute walk into town.

The parking was not as secure as I would like but the room was clean, welcoming which I liked, the staff were friendly, and there was hot water which is really important to me. I have stayed in a place where there was no hot water. So this meant a lot to have.

On the surface, the premises looked clean, although extremely basic. The sheets and pillows were clean, with a topper on the mattress, there were no pillow protectors, just pillow cases. The room was however not as shown in the pictures shown. The outside of the building is extremely run down, in need of repair, redecoration and landscaping, apart from the building number, 210, the was no signage to say that this was an hotel. The corridors, intermediate fire doors and the many stairs were extremely narrow, far less than one meter, I would say this could cause a major hazzard in the case of an emergency evacuation. There was no logic behind how the doors were numbered, room 11, was in front of room 25, room 10 further down the corridor, rooms 9 and 12, were in completely different sections. Check in was very simple and the receptionist was very polite and helpful. One very big no, unfortunately was the bathroom. Mould was present around the tap area to the bath. The bath plug wouldn't stay open whilst using the shower. The water pressure was so low, it took twice as long to shower and rinse the soap etc. And the worst was that excrement was smeared on the wall behind and below the toilet roll. Unfortunately, this is not a property that I would consider staying at again.

Immaculate room with amenities, friendly approachable staff, nice location, very quiet and peaceful stay, perfectly ideal for long distance commuters needing a local place to stay. Very happy, thank you.

I was happy on the first day because on the outward appearance, it was clean. However, I took off my shoes and was wearing socks and these quickly became very dirty. The second day, there was no hot water at all. I wanted to have a shower and ended up having a cold shower, something I have never done before, which was very disappointing. I was so tired and wanted to unwind but after a cold shower, I was cold, and unable to settle for a while. There is no lift, so I had to carry heavy bags to the top floor. No one offers to help carry your bags for you. You are pretty much on your own with that. The tea and milk you get on arrival on the first day is all you get, there is no refill, if you want more, you have to make your way to the nearest shops.

When we got in the room , at first glance nice and tidy we never inspected room thoroughly on day two my wife went to turn radiator down and there was a used condom behind it we were horrified, when we told reception she turned to us smiling and said sorry. This is only one of several major faults with this doss house we shall never return to. It makes me and my wife sick at the thought of us sleeping in it.

Nothing wrong with the venue, had a noisy guest in an adjacent room banging on about her missing purse and blaming her boyfriend for her behaviour.

The staff were all very lovely and friendly, the hotel was a little hard to find due to no signage outside and the furniture was a little tired and could do with modernisation like the wardrobes and desk but all fit for purpose! Lovely and warm and comfortable beds The rooms were clean too, I would recommend this hotel

Only bad thing was I never got told they need a cash deposit
