Holiday Inn CAIRNS HARBOURSIDE, an IHG Hotel

Good breakfast and worth to stay with low price. Room is clean and comfort but slightly old fashion design. Carpark is always full and you need to park outside.

The hotel and the staff are nice. The shuttle bus services from hotel to the night market is pretty sweet. We are happy to enjoy the sea view from the room. Very nice!

Nice beds, nice pool, friendly staff. All round a nice hotel.

Friendly and helpful staff

Good middle range hotel right on the Esplanade.

Clean, comfortable bed and great location for exploring Cairns. Rooms could do with double glazing as the airport is close and the helipad for the hospital even closer! All in all a great option for a night or two.

4 star but small roms

Cairns Harbourside was not one of the best choices, as we found the photos on Expedia not matching with reality, and house keeping was terrible. The bath towels were left with hairs and the balcony door was kept open after housekeeping was done. And... Even after mentioning this to the reception desk, they were least bothered. There was only one staff who heard us at last!

The staff at check-in were very friendly and helpful. The gardens were beautifully maintained. The bar and outside seating was very inviting. The location was good although the rooms were a little tired and noisy. The beds were comfortable but the pillows were terrible. The shower over the bath was difficult to stand in as it was too narrow and the shower curtain was outdated. Internet access was nonexistent in rooms and reception on TV’s was poor. The ability to stream in this day and age should be accessible.

Joli hôtel, accueil très agréable, literie ultra confortable! On se sent totalement enveloppés dans un cocon. Nous avons rarement aussi bien dormi. Avec une vue sur la plage digne d'une carte postale qui parait presque irréelle tellement c'est beau.

This was a very nice property. We enjoyed it a lot. I was sorfy the restaurant was not open for dinner, but the breakfast buffet was very nice

The hotel was in a good position with a excellent veiw However I have mobility problems walk with crutches.i requested a suit as I needed a walk in shower and when I phoned hotel I was adviced to book as had separate shower and bath but on booking in was given a room with a combo bath and shower they had no rooms to move me .we stayed 5 nights and I was unable to shower as I could not get in bath had to make do with wash and head over for hair was very disappointing.The breakfast was excellent with a lot of choice

We could only get wifi if we moved chairs and sat but by the door. We already had asked to move to another room but this room was marginally better. We were out most of the day but was just annoying when we came back. The bar didn’t open very late and we got turfed out as they wanted to clear the cushions that were outside! Not very welcoming! Apart from that is was just plain ok. Nothing fancy. Budget choice. Needs revamping as looks old and tired.

This is my second time staying at this hotel. It is an easy drive to and from the train station and airport. The rooms are comfortable and spacious and you get great views of either Trinity Bay or the green mountains that border the city. It is worth ordering the delicious and varied breakfast buffet. The Esplanade walkway is close to the hotel and allows you a beautiful way to see Cairns and an easy walk to the shops, restaurants, amusement park and many other sites. The staff truly make you feel welcomed and assist you in making your visit that more enjoyable. There is free wifi and a free hourly shuttle bus to the town center. The laundry service was good and same day return if you turn it in on time. The hotel will also store your luggage before you depart Cairns so you can enjoy the town without worrying about it. I went on a week-long diving trip and was returning to the hotel and they stored the bags I didn't need and gave them back to me upon my return. This is a hotel that tries to make you feel you're at home.

Had a lovely slone night stay. The communal areas particularly the pool was lovely as was the bar and restaurant area. The rooms were dated and some mould in the tiles of the bathroom but perfectly comfortable.would stay again

Short stay due to travel, but water view was nice. Very good breakfast buffet, but hours are strict…. as they were taking food off of service right after selling us admission. Surrounding area is safe. Staff were very helpful. Tried extending our stay but they were full so had to move on.
