The Griz Inn

Convenient location if using the Fernie Resort. Quiet and has what you need for a place to stay. No amenities or staff, so basically think “staying at my buddy’s place”, and you’ll be happy with what you get. Beds were decent.

We had a wonderful time everything we needed in suite and the pool was great and clean

The location in the mountains is stunning. This is a great spot to stay for skiing as you can ski right up to the property. We had a condo unit rented through a management company, which all went very smoothly. The value for the price was very good.

Economy room, definitely old room. Bed was fine, missing a way too cook. Called the number and they were able too bring a hot top.

Well the room looked nothing like the picture that we booked , it was extremely dirty, the room was very small , very loud , unable to control the temp in the room , which was extremely hot , no water for half a day , there was no restaurant on the property, just so much wrong , and very disappointing! I will never stay again

Location was great for skiing. Hot tub was lovely. No real staff on site but well managed and organized to access yourself!

The room we booked was pretty run down and needs some work. Breaker would trip if we he light was in when using microwave. Murphy bed legs were falling apart. Shower would scald you if the room next to us flushed toilet. Great location. The owner should spend a little money and make nessasary repairs.

Nice hot tub and close to the hill. Ski in ski out is the best option

Get what you pay for. Beds were comfy. Inadequate dishes (1 coffee cup, 1 fork, but lots of spoons?) dishes were dirty (very sticky so not washed) and no dishwasher so dishes are just being hand washed in sink. Not much counter space. Shower doesn’t have consistent temperature so got scalded a couple times. Pool and hot tub are nice. Staff are friendly but unavailable between 5pm-9am. Location is amazing. Happy to find a decent priced room right on the hill.

Great property convenient to lifts

#203 faces the front of the Mnt, 2min walk to Elk chair, newly renovated huge hot tub and pool with pool side showers and a water fountain. We were texted for an early check as the room was cleaned early. The unit was fully stocked. We didn't need anything. They had filters for the coffee maker, every type of utensil and dish. Make your ice on arrival. So easy to come in for a quick lunch. No washer it dryer in the unit but the boot warmer was enough. Extremelu nice to have. Looking forward to go back. Ps the pictures online didn't do it justice. Way nicer in person.

Very old fashioned - did the job for a couple of nights, but wouldn't want to stay longer. Ideal if you're on a budget and want to be near the ski slopes.

A great stay but missed the Rusty Edge. Griz needs a bar/restaurant.

Family of four with two young children, property is easy to get around and get on the kids ski hill. Room was clean and had everything we needed. Would go back again.

Just finished staying three nights at the Griz Inn. 3 guys, late 30*s. We loved it! The Double bed and 2 bunks were perfect for us. We loved the ski in access to grab a quick beer or bathroom break when needed. The accommodations were better than we expected. The extra big hot tub was also a feature we enjoyed. The kitchen came more stocked than advertised as well. Microwave, toaster, cutlery, dish soap, towels, paper towels - this was nice for breakfast and lunches. I would stay again even if I brought the Mrs and kids. You can’t beat the value and convenience of the Griz! (If you’re looking for the Hilton this isn’t it though). We will be back. Cheers!
