Canadian Hostel

We had a pleasant stay with Canadian Hostel (please note, we requested to give us a lower level room so the assigned room was in 3rd level where the main reception is located). It was a hasslefree booking through app. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Unlike what other reviews say, in our experience it was a great stay. Thanks to traveloka and Canadian Hostel. I recommend the hostel. Just don't expect too much fancy hotel experience, the basics were ok. We felt safe even walking in the ground floor going to the elevator.

The air-con was noisy. The quilt cover was used and smelly and I was bitten. :( The towels were not clean. The location of the hostel is not safe for single lady travelers. People quarreling and shouting until 5.30am and noisy. Would not recommend lady to stay.

It's in the heart of the city and very accessible for the buses and stores. And people there are friendly too and the room was clean and we are comfortable.

The room was so dusty and smelly. we only stayed for almost 9 hours there and had to find another hostel. they did not even accommodate us properly when we came there. the service was so bad. it was a nightmare for us.

Receptionist and owner is very kind. Hotel is good for its price.

The place is near to all the attractions, great host, great stay 👌

Too small for 4 people. But it's okay. The shower has cold and warm, nice.

The bed sheet was dirty and when I asked it to be changed, the guy in charge said it was not and he was rude. The toilet flush and heater that don't work properly. The smell of the room and the beddings are bad, I had to put cologne. The reception is located on another floor, you have to take a different elavator. The location is very accessible to mtr, stores, malls and restaurants.

It is a good place to stay because it is near malls and train station but one thing that me and my friends didn't like was our beddings and pillows has smell like it was not washed before we use but other than that it is great.

It was not that great, but it was okay. Nice facilities. But you hear when people talk outside and enter the premise. But overall, it was a good stay.

Canadian Hostel Review 4D3N Dec 2017: The room rate is affordable and great for backpacker tourist, comfortable, cleanliness is fairly good. They will require you to deposit HKD100 per night for the key. It is refundable. But they gave me HKD100 only after I check out instead of HKD300 as I expected. The restroom has a heater but it's not functional. The hostel is located inside the “Mansion Building” in Tsim Sha Tsui, so every floor is a different hostel. Better to read carefully so you will not be lost, because every elevator has its own hostel destination. Inside the building you will feel the ambiance of the community, so if you are not comfortable with that kind of crowd, better to look for a more convenient place. You might also experience too that you have to be transfer to another room or hostel and leave your things to them. But don’t worry, all hostel are fully equipped with CCTV. Canadian Hostel is just a few steps away from the MTR station and it is plus to go to the desired destination.

The owner is very accommodating. He owns quite a few hostels in the area and I think we were not exactly in Canadian hostel but in one of the hostels. Just had a problem confirming my reservation but was able to resolve it by verifying my name and payment confirmation. The owner said my card got declined and I need to pay cash. Which I argue that its already paid. Good thing, it was resolved.
