The property itself is truly beautiful, with excellent views and a very peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. Our room was spacious and comfortable, Restaurant was good. the restaurant staff were also polite and courteous. However, we were disappointed by the service from the rest of the staff, particularly at reception. Given that this is a five-star hotel, we expected a higher standard of hospitality. We were traveling with large suitcases and needed assistance getting to and from our room, especially since the property includes several steps. Not only was help not proactively offered, but when we did request assistance, the staff’s response was noticeably cold and unwelcoming. Even when we expressed our thanks for the minimal help we eventually received, the attitude remained dismissive. For a hotel of this caliber, guest service should be a top priority, and unfortunately, the lack of warmth and professionalism from some of the staff left a negative impression. Also, the bathroom trash was already full when we arrived at the room. The location and beauty surrounding the property more than makes up for the lack of service, however don’t come here expecting a 5-star service.

This was a very disappointed stay. No where near 5 star service they claim. Room were only equipped with heaters, no aircon available. Breakfast was mediocre and lacked being refilled. Reception was not open at the hours indicated. We were 2 people, but only given 1 towel. When trying to find staff to give us another, nobody was available. Only after waiting for the end of breakfast could we receive the towel. This place claims to be quiet luxury, but it was overfilled with people and lacked basic services. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

The most tranquil stay in the Tuscan countryside. The views are incredible and the staff are so welcoming. The ideal destination to switch off for a few days.

Property is gorgeous. Surrounding area is spectacular. Reception service was not warm or welcoming at anytime we spoke to them. Breakfast lady’s was amazing. Dinner waiter was not good. We ordered chicken dish it was deep fried & full of bones.terrible.

Amazing place, will come back. Everything you would want from a visit to Tuscany. Warm people, delicious food and amazing ambiance. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and had excellent hot water. Rooms opened up to private courtyard. Restaurant meals were delicious, service was impressive and food portions were great. Thank you for taking good care of our family of 5.

One of the best hotels I stayed in my life. Amazingly beautiful, awesome staff, great location in a very well preserved and maintained building.

It will be perfect if they pave the road to the resort.

Our stay at Borgo Sant’Ambrogio was heaven! We were welcomed so warmly and made to feel at home from the moment we arrived. The Borgo is absolutely beautiful, super comfortable, and located in the middle of Tuscany with gorgeous views. We were very close to both Pienza and Montepulciano! The on-site restaurant was delicious and creative for dinner, and breakfast was also wonderful! The whole stay was magical! A very special place, not to miss while traveling in the area!

Leider waren wir enttäuscht von dieser Unterkunft. Wir hatten primär auf die sehr guten vorangehenden Bewertungen verlassen. Zu den positiven Aspekten: - Das Geläde ist sehr schön hergerichtet und sauber. Die Umbegung ist wunderschön. - Das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr gut für italienische Verhältnisse. Besonders die Servicekraft beim Frühstück war sehr engagiert und herzlich. Negative Aspekte: - Sehr kleines, dunkles Zimmer (Zimmer 8). Man hört viel aus den umliegenden Zimmern und von oben drüber. Die anderen Zimmer waren aber größer und sahen deutlich netter aus. - Das Abendessen im Restaurant war unterdurchschnittlich. Unsere Speisen waren sehr fettig und geschmacklich nichts Besonderes. Ich würde nicht empfehlen dort essen zu gehen, es gibt in Pienza eine deutlich bessere Auswahl an Restaurants. - Die Betten sind unbequem mit vier identischen ungemütlichen Kissen (man könnte zwei verschieden Sorten von Kissen anbieten, damit man als Gast eine Auswahl hat). - Es war sehr kalt, nur ein Laken und eine dünne Decke, was üblich für Italien ist aber die uns auf Nachfrage angebotene zusätzliche Decke war unbezogen und schmutzig. Als ich nach einem Bezug fragte, wurde dies ignoriert. - Defekte Glühbirnen wurden nicht gewechselt. - Die Dame an der Rezeption macht einen unmotivierten, unprofessionellen Eindruck. Sie war freundlich aber wirkte unbeholfen und wenig engagiert. Bezgl Aktivitäten mussten wir ihr sprichwörtlich "alles aus der Nase ziehen".

Es un lugar de sueño!! El personal muy amable. Fácil acceso en coche. El buffet increíble. Todo espectacular!!!!
