What a gem. Didnt know this place existed but so glad we found it.
Jennifer and Paige were superstars, full of smiles and very welcoming. Just what weneeded after a drive from Weymouth.
Food was very well presented and exceeded expectations.
Tranquil and expansive grounds for dogs to run around. No traffic.
Good for them.
We would recommend and will definitely go back.

Our stay at Springkell was a highlight of our trip. The grounds are beautiful, the staff were amazing, and it was peaceful and quiet. The breakfast was also quite good.
For people traveling from the US who are users of Google maps for directions, I suggest avoiding the Google maps directions to get to sprinkell. We were taken on a roundabout way that ended up with us on a very rudded gravel road as it was getting dark.
We were there for only one day, and I wish that we could have stayed longer.

Många konstiga grusvägar över fälten in till hotellet, egentligen bara en ordentlig grusväg in. Så lite inte på Google Maps helt.
Väldigt nedstrippat på tidstypiska möbler i allmänna utrymmen och inredning är mest från 70-talet vilket är tråkigt. Hade otur med ostädat rumbadrum när vi kom, men det såg personalen till att snabbt åtgärda genom att ge oss ett väldigt fint rum. Bra service.

Our stay at Springkell was a highlight of our trip. The grounds are beautiful, the staff were amazing, and it was peaceful and quiet. The breakfast was also quite good.
For people traveling from the US who are users of Google maps for directions, I suggest avoiding the Google maps directions to get to sprinkell. We were taken on a roundabout way that ended up with us on a very rudded gravel road as it was getting dark.
We were there for only one day, and I wish that we could have stayed longer.

Lovely gardens and views. Popular wedding venue. I used Room 1 due to temporary incapacity perfected for disabled person. Spacious room and bathroom. Steps into Hall so wheelchair occupants may be challenged. Food good quality and tasty. WIne seemed to be 29.95 but can purchase by the glass. Well stocked bar. Good smart TV

Beautiful hotel and lovely staff, unfortunately internet had been down days prior to my arrival. Sadly I was not informed before arriving and as this was a business trip, lack of internet affected by trip / work schedule.

Lovely house and grounds. All the staff friendly and helpful. The food was really good as well. Id recommend getting to Springkell via Eaglesfield direction as gps navigation can send you the wrong way. I think the house and grounds are being restored very well.

We were really impressed with Springkell as soon as we approached it from the driveway and even more impressed with the interior of the hotel. This is a 1st class hotel and we really enjoyed our time at Springkell. In particular the common areas are stunning with magnificent plaster mouldings on the ceilings and a really special main staircase.
If I would change anything at all I would install a bell push to call for assistance at the reception desk as it is not always manned.
Although the driveway is very bumpy, it is well worth this minor inconvenience.
I would definitely recommend Springkell and we will be returning next time we’re visiting this area of Scotland.

Le personnel est très gentil.
Ce qu’il faut améliorer : 1. la salle de repas et petit dej au niveau de la réception c’est vraiment étrange et gênant 2. Nous avons attendu près d’1 heure pour avoir le petit déjeuner (beaucoup trop long) 3. Aucun service proposé à l’arrivé, pas d’informations (simple remise de la clef ). 4. Nous avons eu 4 réponses différentes pour l’horaire du petit déjeuner et pareil pour les tarifs .
Globalement personnel très gentil mais semble peu professionnel.

We chose Springkell because it was a stately home and we had not stayed in one. The man who booked us in was excellent. He works at the hotel for a summer holiday job. He gave us lots of information about the hotel's history. We enjoyed our stay and breakfast was very good. The only disappointing aspects were our room was ridiculously small, the mattress was soft and you rolled into the middle of the bed. We were not very hungry and only had soup and entree type food and a cheese platter. What we ate apart from the soup, was very poor in quantity and flavour. The cheese platter was a disgrace. I did mention this on checking out and hope they improve this for future guests. Apart from our couple of disaapoint,ents with food and our room the ambience of the house is worth a stay.

I dont usually leave reviews, but I have to say how stunning this hall hotel & cottages are. We stayed in Stables cottage as there are 5 of us. We had a gorgeous, unbelievably equipped kitchen with everything you need. Every device was high end. The nain bed is huge, emperor size i think. Im used to a King size, but this was beautiful. The bathroom is stunning, with a fab walk in shower & ckaw footed bath. The grounds are stunning, with secluded woods, a huge field with football nets, which our boys loved. There also a huge trampoline. The Hall Hotel was beautiful. A hidden gem!
