Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Washington, DC/Downtown

Good location in DC downtown! We enjoyed the stay but even better if the hotel can improve/invest more on the WiFi network. We needed to do biz online conference but failed to connect stably in the two days. We called the reception to ask if we can pay to upgrade the WiFi connection but being told full house and the internet speed was slow and unstable. Valet parking service was great! (We moved to another Fairfield hotel in NJ tonight the WiFi speed is perfect :)

I stayed at the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Washington DC on August 6, 2025, for one night. Upon check-in, I was charged a $60 deposit with the assurance that it would be refunded upon checkout. At checkout, I inquired about the deposit, and the front desk informed me it would be returned the following day. However, after three days, I still had not received it, so I followed up with a phone call. I was told once again that it would be refunded—this time within seven days. Unfortunately, it has now been over a month (1 month and 7 days) since my stay, and I still have not received the deposit refund. I’ve sent multiple emails and have yet to receive any response. This level of customer service is unacceptable, especially from a well-known and reputable hotel chain like Marriott. I am extremely disappointed with how this situation has been handled. What should have been a routine refund process has turned into a frustrating and time-consuming experience. I hope this review prompts the management to address the issue more seriously and ensures that future guests do not face similar problems.

The lock in our room was broken…, we came back to the hotel after dinner, went to our room, and discovered that the access key wasn’t working, went to the lobby, the key was replaced. Tried again and it didn’t work,after a couple attempts to open it using the card I was given, the hotel send a maintenance person to try and get the door open, it too more than 3 hours to finally get the door opened, my family and I were all waiting for the door to open, at this point we were too tired, it was past midnight when we finally made to our beds, a total disaster…..

Great breakfast, comfortable beds, refrigerators and microwaves, staff was amazing and it’s attached to a great Irish Pub! All within walking distance of the sites of DC! Super close to the train station that can get you anywhere!

The staff was very unprofessional. The surrounding area is very unsafe. They also said there was parking available and when we got there we had to pay for the valet parking. They also mentioned that there were EV chargers available and there was none.

Everything is good. Cleanliness, breakfast, property condition. Only the Room “superior King” is little small, less bright and conjusted.
