Good !

This is very good view and comfortable room for us, when we check-in, the staff is very helpful and nice, the room lamp was out of work and their staff fix it very fast after calling, it is very beautiful lake view, we booked six nights and the location is quite good, 15mins to QueenStreet and 20mins to Airport, we will book if come again to NewZealand!

good location, and close to shopping also. Only down side is slow internet.

Such a nice place, easy parking, check in and out. Will be booking here a lot more!

Bath - nice travelling bonus for child. Handy luggage transporting trolly at reception,with lots of space at entrance for ease of dropping bags or picking up people. 24hr check in/out. Felt safe. Food eat-in options available. Noise of people coming to rooms was probably the downfall, our room was near to lift/stairs. Hotel is dated but some refreshments have been made about and overall presentable and clean. Staff were very helpful. A pleasant experience to stay and would be happy to stay again.

Some staff was attentive, whilst other staff made you feel like any request was a burden. Light bulbs were blown and were not given a towel per guest. Some doors that required key entry were difficult to open.

The location was very convenient for what we were there for. The room was the perfect size for us. We would have made use off the spa but it was raining and too cold for us but that was okay because we made use of the bath in our room. We definitely stay again and would highly recommend to friends and family. Thank you Waipuna Lodge and staff!

Hotel is in need of upgrading works. it looks dated. The bed and linens are clean, but it is too soft for me, as I personally like a firmer mattress. The front counter service is good though - Polite and professional. The breakfast is buffet but with limited choices. Not enough coffee cups and only 1 coffee machine can't cope with some crowds when they are hosting convention events. For me, it's not worth paying for breakfast.

Driving into the property you got a very luxurious feel with the carousel drive through, grand entrance, flashy lobby with a fireplace, check in was fast, staff were super friendly, professional and helpful, catered to some of my unusual requests like asking for hot milk for my daughters bottle. It was all great until we got to the room. It wasn’t bad, it just seems like most of the money was invested in the entrance which makes sense being a conference centre so they cater for meetings and events, however, the rooms were tired, cold, could use a touch up. The heat pump in the lounge was in a position where it would heat the lounge up well but left the bedroom cold. Had to ask the reception for a portable heater for the bedroom which made up for it. For the price and compared to the other properties in the area, this was a stellar deal. Going to stay here again for short stays.

My wife and I stayed here for only one night on our honeymoon since we were touring the country but that one night spent here was amazing. The room was fantastic. Everything was clean, the room was amazing, our view was incredible and the staff was very friendly and efficient. Strongly recommend staying here. It is a shame we only stayed the one night because I would have loved to stay longer.

We had a lovely stay and enjoyed eating dinner in the bar and looking out over the water. Unfortunately the heat pump in our room was very noisy. Otherwise a super stay!
