Well we actually unknowingly booked a wrong area. We were looking for a hotel at Toyama (near Toyama Station) but since all the hotel near the station were fully booked, we searched for another option. We didn’t know (lack of research) that Toyama is a city in Toyama Prefecture. We thought Toyama is just an area and Himi is one if the city. So Toyama is a city in Toyama Prefecture and Himi is another city, so it’s quite far from the station. The access to this hotel is only bus from Toyama station and taxi. And to get back to Toyama Station you should take taxi to Himi station and change to train, or just go straight to Toyama station with taxi which we considered costly. The hotel itself is ok. The staff don’t speak fluent English, but not to worry, the will try their best to be informative and google translate will help you to communicate.
