Ok for a convenient location when you have a super early flight. I did spend time inspecting the bed for little creatures as the sheet

Had to call/wait for staff to check in, not friendly, not worth the price for quality of room/stay. Don’t recommend

Not clean and lot of bugs/ants, not good for kids. The rooms were too bright even at night

Not a good experience, worn out matresses, really old towels that were more cream colored than white. At $70 you do not even get a decent soap. The old bed sheets had been used and were soiled with who knows what.

Was a decent room for a night. Nothing is really around the hotel and I would recommend just staying in Liberia if traveling the following day. My girlfriend I and didn’t even get breakfast as it was only open from 7-8:30 which we didn’t know.

Friendly staff, perfect for what we needed.

This was my second time staying at Hotel Santa Ana, while waiting for my departure flight to Canada out of the Guanacaste airport, the next morning. There’s not 1 negative thing I can say about this place. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The rooms are clean and everything is in good working order. The wall mounted TV is definitely a nice touch. I feel safe here. There is a lot of secure parking available, if you have a vehicle. It’s only a 6 minute drive to the airport. I love their available shuttle service to the airport for $12, it’s very convenient. There is several places to eat I found all within a 5-10 minute walk of the hotel, as well as a convenience store (Sun Market Convenience store) that is a 10 minute walk away. I like the affordability. I can’t recommend this hotel enough. I will definitely be back! 🙂

Lots of big red ants going to and from the bathroom/ entering & leaving via gap at room wall floor, Bed was also not very comfortable /very basic and I woke up with a stiff back. A very basic hotel but all else was clean except that I had to keep killing big red ants and worried they’d get to me bed but I don’t think they did.

Close to airport. Despite that it was quiet. Good price. They can provide transport to airport on request. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. There is eating close by, but quite limited. Good inexpensive choice if you have an early morning flight.

The beds were uncomfortable Rooms and showers were old.

The hotel has wooden doors that don't dampen the sounds of other guests and road noise. Rude people talking loudly outside or in their rooms after 11 PM and still at 1 and 2 AM. Lots of road noise as well.

It was conveniently close to the airport but I would not stay here again. It was SO noisy- the walls and windows were thin and you could hear other guests as well as traffic and plane noise like it was in your room. There were only pillow shams on the very old soiled pillows and a thin sheet over the soiled mattress. They also charge for everything including ice.

There were no other places to stay as there were local festivities happening so I took this place fully knowing what I was getting into after reading other reviews. I was in room 24 which is next to highway and the window could not be fully closed so road noise was high. I put earplugs on but still it was loud. I had the AC on which was actually working quietly and efficiently. There was also hot water unlike what some other reviews said, but since weather was hot, there was no need to use it. instead of geckos which I have seen in other places, there were some frogs on the shower walls, which I did not mind since they were kind of cute.

Dirty. Ants, frogs and bugs. Uncomfortable beds. No smart tv. Rooms right by highway are very noisy. We left after 30 minutes

The staff was very accommodating and personable.I wanted a budget place closer to airport than Liberia and this place fit my needs. Small rooms. Quiet and clean.

They advertise a shuttle to the airport... less than a five minutre ride but charged $15USD .... a ripoff. Had to ask for towels... got two but no handtowels

Bathroom shower had a frog and lizard in it.
