The entire building had a very strong odor, like untreated sewage. The sheets had not been changed after the previous guest left and were dirty. The room was dirty, the kitchen faucet barely worked, the bathtub was dirty and drained very slowly, and there was no hot water or heating (even though it was 25 degrees outside, it was cold in the room). Unfortunately, I had prepaid for four nights, but due to the appalling conditions, I left after only one night.
When I noticed how dirty the sheets were, I checked the online reviews again and found negative reviews on hotels.com that had been posted after I made my reservation. Notice how reviews from 2023 & 2024 have been erased.
The hotel offered to clean my room and fix the hot water, but given my experience on the first night and the comments I found online, I wasn't convinced that they would solve the problems (clean sheets and hot water are basic expectations in a hotel room). There was no front desk at this hotel, and I discovered in online reviews that there is a lot of theft at this hotel, and I did not feel safe.
