Stayed here last year (2023) and gave it 5-stars and a glowing review... Nothing has changed in a year. Maybe another visit in 2025? I hope so!!!

great location fun town

This is an expensive youth hostel! No front desk, no breakfast. Management is confrontational and offensive.

We stayed here for one weekend and found the place to be incredibly serene and convenient. Upon arrival we were greeted by a splendidly gracious host Alexander, he outlined the procedures and made us feel right at home. It was a short stay but every part of our experience was pleasant and positively memorable!

The place is straight out of a Hallmark movie! The host was so kind and checked on us daily. The room was adorable with a balcony overlooking the street. There’s a Tea Room a few steps across the street with wonderful coffee and pastries. I can’t say enough wonderful things about our stay here.

You must stay here when visiting Engelberg. The hotel is great and the staff is even better! I’ve never felt so welcomed at a hotel in my entire life. They take the time to show you around the property prior to checking in and they truly make you feel like you’re a member of their family. The rooms are clean and have everything you need. They have a great common kitchen as well for those who want to stay in and cook. We could not have had a better stay! Thank you Mladan, Frank and team for your hospitality!!!

I must say it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. My room was impeccably clean, tastefully decorated, and equipped with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep after a long day of exploring the area. Furthermore, the hotel's attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety during these challenging times were commendable. I felt completely at ease throughout my stay. The exceptional service, great accommodations, delicious dining, and prime location all combined to make it a memorable stay. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a top-notch hospitality experience. I can't wait for my next visit!

WiFi signal was excellent. Shared kitchen was superb. Staffs were friendly.

My wife and I stayed here in August 2023. I can sum up our experience with one word: Perfect! The PROS: 1) Mobile app check-in/electronic key/check-out/the ability to contact the host 2) The room was immaculate and wonderfully constructed... ample windows and power sources... it also featured a small refrigerator. The beds were comfortable and made even more so with their comforters 3) The common kitchen area was by far the nicest one we have encountered and had everything one could possibly think of for food preparation, cooking, and eating. It featured 1 CHF coffee (on the honor system), tea, and lots of cookies and the "cake of the day" 4) The hotel also features a restaurant (we did not avail) and judging by the number of people frequenting it, I suspect it was excellent. 5) There was a lovely lounge set aside specifically for adults and a large playroom set aside for children. 6) The location of the hotel was absolutely spectacular. Within easy walking distance to two grocery stores (Migros and Coop) and it was a stones throw from the train station. We easily walked to the Mt. Titlis gondola station, but there is a public bus that will take you there. The CONS: 1) In the spirit of full disclosure, the bathroom shower is extremely tight and there is no tub. Neither bothered us in the least, but "large" individuals would not fare well with these accommodations. In fairness to the hotel, there may be other rooms that could accommodate large people. 2) Nothing else!!!

Nice hotel good location friendly reception

We had a great time staying on the newly renovated hotel. Alexander surprised us with an awesome welcoming reception and provided us with much needed info about what to do and visit in the town. We cannot wait to come back and stay in this hotel again.

Very friendly and responsive owner. 15mins walk to mount Titlis. Self serve kitchen and fridges are very conviene. I would come back again.

Amazing kitchen facility, very reasonably priced, good customer service from staff and was a warm, welcoming environment.

Our room had a view of the alps, we loved the kitchen cooking options, or local dining options, we enjoyed the location, perfect! Easy to walk to Titlis cable cars, or start a hike on our own in the lower hills. The Easter Market on Saturday was adorable and so much fun! The staff is very helpful and pleasant. We would stay here again absolutely! It is decorated in a lovely manner, very clean, cute, quiet. We didn't have a hair dryer in our bathroom but we also didn't ask for one to borrow (maybe they do have one to borrow) we only stayed 2 nights, wish we had stayed longer! Maybe next time we will !

Very helpful and friendly staff - the best I’ve encountered! The common kitchen is superb - it has everything you need and more. All common areas are decorated with a great taste, it was a pleasure to be here.
