I got this overnight stay as a birthday treat for my sister and her husband . They absolutely loved it room was amazing , staff very helpful . Only flaw is ; They did take the car and the parking at the hotel is very neat . They do tell you that and offer spaces elsewhere at reduced £ . But I would recommend getting train or bus . As location is very central . However , overall a great hotel .

Tv in room not many good channels . Sofa bed not comfortable for my son but king bed was so comfortable.

Hotel was nice. Decent size rooms but the hotel is way too hot. We had a fan in the room and the window open but didn’t make much difference.

Shame what a state the room was in. Carpets filthy with stains, bathroom not clean. Other than the room cleanliness the hotel was very nice

Great room and view, comfy large bed, shower brilliant. Good city hotel, breakfast was good not exceptional. Our biggest grind being on the ninth floor was the length of time for the lifts to get to us, sometimes 3 or 4 minutes or more, not helped by there not being a staff lift in hotel.

Not far from a bus stop that took us to the University. Friendly staff, clean rooms. Beds not amazing but we had a comfortable stay.

We highly recommend this property. It was very clean, had excellent breakfast offerings (full Scottish - with haggis! - and additional continental options), and is walking distance to the city center and old town. We felt the price was very reasonable given its location and amenities.

Friendly staff, parking in the hotel is usually full but there is a discounted parking 2 mins walk away for 12 pounds for the entire day.

Stayed one night at Sandman. The hotel has it's own charm, as there is quite a lot of concrete and LED lighting. The double bedroom was quite small, and there were 3 small horizontal window panes which didn't open, or let much light in. There was no view in this room. The room was very hot and stuffy. When I arrived the temporary freestanding air conditioning unit was blasting very loud, and the fan was also on. Yes it was hot outside, but it was quite unhealthy. As the A/C unit had to be topped up with water, the carpet around the unit was already quite wet with condensation. For the TV, there was a good selection of channels, but I was unable to change the volume - I couldn't hear anything over the A/C unit. Bed was reasonably comfortable. Decent sized ensuite, but the bath towels felt damp when I picked them up, and the shower basin leaked onto the floor. I pre-paid breakfast the night before to save £3. Staff were all friendly, and breakfast was good.

Nice modern hotel, comfortable rooms. short stroll from the main shopping area. Parking is a bit of a pain. Blue badge spaces taken by non blue badge holders, however the council owned pay & display on street spaces at the side of the hotel are free for those displaying a blue badge.
