From April 2011, you will also be admitted to the Montmartre Museum, allowing you to gain a deeper understanding of the history of Montmartre and the backgrounds of the artists who were active there. (Until March 2011, you will only be able to see the exterior, not enter the museum.)

The sight of painters gathering to create art evokes the time when Montmartre was the centre of modern art.
In the early 20th century, many artists lived here, including Pablo Picasso and Maurice Utrillo.
