We stayed one night with our 3 and a half year boy. The hotel is new and the room is equipped with excellent facilities except the dishware are only for two people. The room is large and clean. We came during Christmas time but the arrangement of getting a room key and room were fine.The location is very good & it's close to coles and other supermarket. The only inconvenience is that the add. mentioned is no.150 Anketell Str. but the building we could found is No.142, which was quite confusing.

We've stayed here before as the hotel is located near family, but I doubt we will be back. There was an awful smell in the room probably due to an inefficient bathroom exhaust fan, but possibly from the drain. We managed it by keeping the lounge-room sliding doors open as much as possible, but if the room was closed up the smell returned. Only one burner worked on the two-burner stove so could not really cook meals as we had hoped to. Air-con remote would not work. The bedroom is so tiny you can barely walk around the bed.The hotel as a whole is looking a bit old and shabby. Staff were friendly enough, but communication was a bit hit and miss.

We arrived late on a Sunday and the reception was no longer open and we didn’t get any text messages to inform us of the after hours check in process. The phone rang for a min then was answered finally but it took about 20 mins to check in. Room was good, slept well, clean and well furnished.

Stay was nice with an easy check in and check out process. I wasn’t given the cot I requested so not sure if they just don’t have them. Abode was in a really convenient location around the Tuggeranong shopping centre with beautiful restaurants around as well as the river there.

Not clean. Air/toilet freshener was masking the fact that the whole apartment was not cleaned properly. I didn’t get a text after hours for check in even though I was assured I would. Had to call them back and request one and was made to believe I don’t know how to check texts on my phone. Card did not work to open the door, had to go down to reception and make another phone call to sort it out.

Great place to stay so clean, comfortable beds, great location & the staff are very friendly.

Felt like a hotel for junkies. Room was hard to cool down. Small hot water tank so forget about it if you enjoy long hot showers. Balcony was big but no furniture to enjoy it. Definitely the worst of Abodes in Canberra by far

Property was a comfortable but in need of a good clean. Carpet, furniture and general cleanliness was not in great condition. There was a used syringe out the front of the property and felt like not a great area. Very convenient across from shopping centre and restaurants. Safe were friendly and helped when we were not able to get back in due to swipe not working afterhours.

Good sized apartment with balcony, sofa bed, washing machine, dryer, and full kitchen. Room was nice and warm during cold winter night. Across the road from shopping centre, very convenient.

Overall the property was lovely however the veranda was quite dirty and the mix up at reception over whether I'd paid or not (when i clearly had a receipt) was a bit of a let down. However being able to extend our checkout by an hour was amazing. The location is spot on with access to shops, dining and transport right at front door and the view of the lake breath taking. I'd definitely recommend and stay again.

The biggest challenge with this property is the parking. I knew this before I arrived as I had read several reviews so I thought I was prepared. When checking into most hotels you expect to park in front by the entrance, not the case here. There is a roll up door around the corner that you have to find first. Once entering you follow the signs to the reception desk. No real designated parking for this that I could find. My issue arrived with the strong accent of the very sweet young lady that checked me in. I was an international traveler so I was challenged already, to then not understand this girl on the parking. I ended up having an issue with a permanent resident that fortunately with the help of another young lady, who I could understand very well, we resolved the issue. The rest of my stay was really great here. I stayed for 2 weeks and having the use of a small kitchen and washer and dryer in my room was great. They would clean everyday if I wished and even left me dishwashing, and washing detergent for the washing machine. That is a first for me. Location was great. Beautiful Lake Tuggeranong within walking distance and a large mall directly across the street was very convienent. Once the parking was figured out the whole experience was really great.

The general condition of the property was average. However, several things were in poor condition. The bathroom needs attention. There was black mold around the shower and a sticky feeling on the floor tiles. The sofa was stained. The bedroom was so small it felt a bit like a large closet. You have to shuffle sideways to get past the bed to the closet. The kitchen was spotless and thoughtfully stocked with milk, coffee pods, and a kettle to make tea.

Close to shopping

Parking area could be marked a little better. Concrete parking spaces with raised concrete slabs make it an absolute nightmare for anyone walking around it. Surely raised slabs should be painted yellow?

I enjoyed the location of the room nearby the lift. I have just rebooked over the phone to obtain the same room and the hotel were very accomodating
