Very easy to book/check in/check out. Pleasntly

This motel had an 8.4 rating which was one of the reasons we chose it, plus its relatively close location to town. Check in was at 2:00pm so when we arrived at 2:15pm we were surprised to find the office locked and no one around. I called the 3 phone numbers left on the notice on the door, as it instructed me to should the office be unmanned. Two went to voice mail and the third’s mailbox was full so I couldn’t leave a message. I did leave a message on the other two. After about 10 minutes I received a callback letting me know someone would be there in 2-3 minutes. Then I received a second call saying they were on their way. We were finally given our room and even though we were not overjoyed at the condition decided to stay or lose one night’s tariff. I have included photos to show the condition of the bathroom and a couch that either needed an extreme clean or to be thrown out. There was a plastic jug filled with water in the refrigerator that had black particles of who knows what, I shudder to think, floating in it. I emptied it and the particles clung to the sides. The large trash bin in the grounds looked like it hadn’t been emptied in months. The room, especially the bathroom, smelled of cigarette smoke. Luckily the bed was comfortable, we were only staying 2 nights, and we went out during the day. I would have told the manager about these issues when we checked out at 8:10am but the office was locked with no one about. It was supposed to be open at 8:00am.

Great location with easy access to local shops as well as wineries. The room we stayed was reasonably clean but the bedding needed some improvements where the blankets were not warm enough and the availability of extra blankets was limited. (The extra blankets that were given had some marks from old dirts even though we were told they had been washed)

Was a pleasant stay, quiet area. Comfortable large room to fit my family. Thankyou

The room was clean and comfortable, cool in very hot weather, liked the pool. It could be improved by some plates, bowls and cutlery to go with the microwave and toaster - if they were there, I couldn’t find them.

Property was in a fair condition. For a family room for up to 7 people to sleep in there was only room for 2 towels to be hung. The wardrobe is on its last legs and not enough space for luggage to be stored. The room and bathroom could also do with a revamp.

The room and staff were lovely. Walking distance to a local pub with good food. Pool was advertised but not fit for swimming despite it being Spring and warm weather. Great value for money though and would stay again.

The property was in an OK situation in general. However, the room needed a proper cleaning, especially under the beds (found dead cockroaches) and the dusty blinds. The pool was dirty on the day we arrived and we intended to swim on a hot day, there was a tissue down the pool.

Despite a satisfactory visit about 12 months ago, we were disappointed with the room this time. There was a feeling of the room being 'run down' and we would not recommend this venue.

It was ok for few hours stay

Clean, convenient and well priced with friendly staff. Perfect for my requirements whilst providing wedding transport and photobooth services in this realm. The property was close to a pub and parkrun 🌟

I like quite motels which allow you to rest. this one lived up to its name.

Good value. Not luxury but comfortable Smallish bathroom but adequate. Exactly what we needed on this occasion. Close to hotel for very yummy good value dinners

Convenient, very safe as management always there. Good parking, beds & linen clean and new. Slept well every night. Close to wine trails. Priced very reasonably. Rooms need new layout as table in king room prevents easy access to great modern wardrobe. In queen room pull out sofa could be replaces with a single bed .

Nicely appointed room but a bit small, likewise a tiny bathroom. Very expensive but I guess clawing back lost income from covid. Friendly managers let us have a late checkout Sun morning.
