Easy to find, good parking, friendly, efficient, welcoming and helpful staff, good sized room which was very well equipped, very clean, comfortable bed, linens and towels, efficient air conditioning and well located for shops and restaurants.

The hotel is in a great location, close to stores and restaurants. The staff are very friendly and professional. Our room was very clean and in a quiet location. The bed, sofa and chairs were very comfortable. The kitchen had sufficient utensils and coffee was suppled by the hotel. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant which was very good and very busy. The single unit washer/dryer works really well.

Room was nice but no free water available had a meal in restaurant and only place in Aussie where they got the bill wrong and had to be dogmatic about it being incorrect.

Spacious and clean rooms with living area and kitchen.
No sound for the tv in the living room, connected to a sound Stanton but wasn’t working. So could not use the TV.
Charged AUD 35 for our hybrid car to be plugged into a standard socket in the underground garage (very low speed charging) - this is way too expensive for parking in Canberra with basic charging facilities.

Every time I’ve stay at the Avenue Hotel previously ( a lot )
With the level I have with hotels.com I’ve always had complimentary park included
For some reason this was refused
Hotel staff told me I would have to take it up with hotel.com
Which attempted to call a number of time, but also emailed what had happened
But nothing
Subsequently I had to pay $60 more than what I had originally allowed for
My boss wasn’t extremely unhappy with me and Hotels.com
