Although the hotel looks old and fitted with classic/old-fashioned furnitures, the interior is definitely clean and tidy. The hotel provides free parking. Convenient location. Supermarkets/restaurants are all within 5-minutes driving distance or 15-minutes walking distance. Good commanding view over the city of Launceston. Reception staff are really nice too.

- Toilet is smelly
- Air condition is not work properly.
- Car park always full.
- All shampoo and daily consumable didn't refill
- Lots of things in the fridge which don't have spare space for me to put my food and drinks

Friendly, convenient, and simple. A nice motel if you have a car and need a parking space overnight. The nice staff reminded us each day if we were going to Cradle Mountain to dress warmly and watch out for black ice. Recommend.

It was an unbeatable experience & the memory is going to stay long with me. I travelled alone to Launceston for the Cradle Mountain. The owner & manager - Trevor - free upgraded me to a BIG room with superb view. Free wifi. Very comfy & clean. I took a picture with Trevor & he added me onto Instagram & Facebook... it was Awesome & I recommend this place to anyone who prefers motel/hotel standard with a personal touch.

The view is nice. It is taller than most building in Launceston, and thus we can see a great city view. Room quality is nice. Breakfast is of good quality, although a little bit expensive. Overall it is a good experience in Balmoral on York.
