The rooms are advertised as soundproof, this is the reason I booked at the Burke and Wills and they had a pool, the rooms are in-fact not sound proof! Complete false advertising and robbery, we didn’t get to sleep until after 3:30am after the buffs club across the road closed, I asked to change rooms the next morning as we were booked in for a 2 night stay, I was advised by Carrol ‘it is our fault for arriving late’ and ‘it's mount isa what do you expect’, some training in customer service would be beneficial, I bumped into the guests in the room next to us in the morning and they had a horrible sleep aswell, the pool was also closed. . I will never be staying here again, mould in the shower, someone else’s towels hanging in bathroom on arrival, a rude robbery.

The owners were amazing. They went way beyond the call of duty.

The access, the assistance of the Staff was if the highest quality. Thank you. We will stay with you again when travelling to Queensland.

Only one thing … we are an older couple and we would have liked a ground floor unit. However because we booked through Expedia we would have had to pay an extra $20 per night for that privilege .
