Booked our room through Hotels.com and almost immediately received an email from the motel advising that the restaurant was closed until further notice. OK, no problems there’s a nice pub down the street. Arrived at the motel at 1705 on Sunday only to find that reception was closed. Tracked down the phone number and rang 4 times only to get music. Contacted Hotels.com who were able to raise the owners who then rang us. Their excuse was they didn’t have our phone number and as such couldn’t advise the after hours arrangement to access the room. Interesting excuse given that the motel had already contacted us to advise that the restaurant was closed. One might be excused for thinking that if reception had limited hours then a note in the email would have been helpful along with a code for the security box. Anyway we now had to find our room. The map provided was not clear and indicated a room towards the back of the property. Sure, there was a house there but it was dark and all the lights were off so we didn’t think there were rooms there. Tried to ring the motel again to get instructions but all we got was music. Then lo and behold, someone turned the lights on at the house. Saw a young lass who was about to open a staff door in the main building and she indicated where our room was. Yes it was in the house at the rear of the property that had been dark. Accommodation was OK and we read the instructions in the envelope and to our dismay, the Wifi was out. Under repair!

Nice spacious clean room with comfortable bed. The only negative was no shower gel in the dispenser.

At last, an Australian motel that provides biscuits post COVID. It is proof for me that this establishment respects the comfort of guests over petty cost cutting measures. Great work Quality.

Hotel is relatively expensive for Grafton. Hotel room is showing signs of wear in bathroom and with lighting. Staff pleasant and location good.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The motel is old and all the furniture is worn, torn ripped and falling apart

Property has a lot of solar panels, would appreciate if they can have some electric car chargers setup in future

Room was clean, though needs some updating. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Continentsl breakfast was not available as advertised. But we were given suggestion for Hank's Kitchen instead. Wifi was either spotty or non existent.

Overall conditions for this motel is a bit disappointed. There is no Wifi in our room. Two lamps in bedroom are not working. The bathroom is not clean. My bed cover is dirty. The only good thing is the location. This motel is located just opposite to a shopping centre.

No microwave.

For the money spent, it can be better.

Great clean property, nice rooms with everything you would expect. Shopping centre & fuel across the road. Very nice & convenient place to stay. Easy to find.

The location is strategic But strangely it was legal for other guests to park in front of my room so I had to look for parking in another available place☹️

Everything was close and handy

The room we were allocated to (20) needs quite an upgrade as it is very dated. The lounge had rip marks on the arms. It looked like it had been there since the 90’s and to be honest, looked grotty. We are not snobs but we were not game to sit on it. The queen bed was uncomfortable. There was no free wifi password in the room, nor was pay TV / YouTube available, which you generally expect in motels these days. The only plus side is that it is close to amenities and food. Disappointing for the $225 we paid for an overnight stay.

It was an easy place to find and you could walk to town and most river sites which are close.
