DoubleTree by Hilton Esplanade Darwin

The hotel is centrally located and convenient to get to the main street. The room is not spacious, but still it is enough. The facilities are a bit not modern, say limited electronic plugs, but still we were satisfied with it. Moreover, the wifi facility should be further improved as the hotel just allowed one person to access to wifi but not all.

Noisy with renovations, rooms was ok, staff where very friendly/helpful

I was disappointed with the lack of support when my 14yo autistic daughter got electrocuted by the room hairdryer it blew all our power circuits which were fixed, yet only an apology was offered - sorry mam. I requested for burn cream as the shock blew out of hair dryer and burnt her arm near wrist. Apart from the cream and a sorry no offer to seek medical care until the next day when we were to fly out I asked for them to get a doctor as she was experiencing pain down her arm since the shock- which they couldn’t do they just offered to call me a taxi or ambulance so I could take her to the hospital. This should have been promptly done at the time of the incident not an afterthought when I was the one who requested it. I didn’t feel the follow up or lack of was adequate and level of support in this situation was poor. Good, attentive customer service is what separates excellence from average. Thank you I hope this feedback is taking constructively for future guests.

Good restaurant for myself being solo. Nice environment with a park and bay out front. Hop on- Hop Off bus a block away

Shops about a 10 min walk away Hotel was being renovated which we were not notified about when we booked Work started at around 7 am in the morning Hotel was good just lots of broken tiles etc out the front and scaffolding on the building Staff excellent and very friendly

I travel to Darwin for work and this is my go-to spot. The pool is lovely. I wish they had chrome cast as I stay in and relax after work, but I still like it.

Incredible hotel great location but they need to ensure that the dinner dining option is available within a reasonable time not late like 9:30pm not acceptable

Staff were great, very friendly and helpful. Great pool. Outside of building could do with some TLC. A little too far from the shopping area of town and Waterfront.

Great location but tired room facilities. Pool area is lovely and the building looks out onto a park and ocean. Rooms could do with an upgrade, especially the carpets and the shower water pressure. On the upside, very comfortable bed.

Location and rooms are great. Breakfast was very disappointing. Food was cold even when we went down at 6am. No mugs, glasses etc had to ask staff for so many things. They are really understaffed and not prepared for breakfast time. Would stay again but only on a room only basis. Charged for wifi which is rare these days, especially when the room rate is so high
