Never could I have imagined the quintessence of Elm Cottage Barn. It’s charm, character and peace carries you away from the chaos of the real world to a special far away place for the time you stay. A surreal and elegant warmth embraces and encapsulates you, beckoning you to never want to leave. Ps the bed is very cosy and comfortable, the amenities quirky in character with the decor theme and convenient.

A stunning property, everything was superbly presented, we loved it and the owner was so friendly and helpful.

Right size, beautiful artsy. Phone number for property in Expedia did not work, fortunately there was a number listed outside the building that did. Check in instructions could be better written, description of breakfast and fruit,vegetables should be revised as only available seasonally. U pick from garden. Very neat and beautiful house, well decorated but several cobweb areas in shower and bathroom area. Not a big problem just enough to keep from being wonderful. Good place to stay but felt it overpriced in comparison to other options.

From the minute you arrive at this property you will not want to leave. Every single thing has been thought of. Each item has been placed in exactly the right spot. I hope to be able to return soon.

I was so glad we stumbled across this cottage! It was a really lovely secluded space and had everything we could want. Loved the kitchen (and kitchen garden) and the really generous breakfast with fresh chook eggs - made me feel inspired to cook! I wish we'd had longer, it felt like such a gem of a place. Thank you Elm Cottage team!

We liked the eclectic charm and vintage setting. Super comfy bed and all we needed was provided. It was fun. Even the chooks made us welcome.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Elm Cottage Barn. What a sensational property and Rhonda is a most gracious host. The Elm is warm and inviting. Absolutely spotlessly clean with every facility imaginable. A full kitchen, Netflix, a warm King size bed combined with an always hot shower with all the trimmings. We were only sorry we could stay just the one night but we will be back. Highly recommended.

Our experience was pleasing. A good location, the garden was lovely and the rooster and chickens made us feel at home. The provisions and quality of food for beakfast was fresh and plentiful.

Really pretty, quiet and set in a lovely garden. All the makings provided for us to cook breakfast - eggs from the resident chickens, bacon, tomatoes, sausages, bread, yoghurt, juice. I’d recommend eating in- mini bar options included quality pasta sauce etc which would have been much nicer than the pub grub up the road.

Beautifully furnished with top quality linens, towels, and other extras. Access to gorgeous garden areas, fresh eggs and breakfast goodies. Lots of special touches. We absolutely loved it.

Beautifully styled accommodation with everything we needed and more! A beautiful garden to wander through and friendly chickens too. There was gorgeous food and wine available to buy - the dine-in option was a plus on ANZAC Day in the pretty but quiet town of Oatlands. Generous complimentary touches too. We were warm and snug despite a sudden drop in temperatures. Enjoyed an early evening walk around the town and along the foreshore of the stunning wetlands as the sun set. A delightful stay. My photographs don’t capture the ambiance!

What an absolute delight !! The whole experience was gorgeous and there was care-filled attention and generosity in every detail. Left feeling inspired and nurtured.

Beautiful little hideaway in this beautiful historic town. Look up the local ghost tour run by Pete for a very interesting history tour of this interesting village. Wander the private gardens picking your herbs to eat

It’s a nice place to stop by before heading to Hobart airport on the next day. The barn is beautifully decorated and fully equipped.
