Easy check in, room was perfect unfortunately underestimated how busy restaurant was down stairs and forgot to book a table, we will know for next time.

We didn’t have a lot of interaction with staff, but the few were courteous. The room was moderately comfortable. We would have appreciated two chairs rather than assuming you can sit on the bed at all times. We were surprised that there was no window in the room which gave it a cave like feel.

Everything was disappointing - underwhelming. Very tired hotel and small room - nowhere to put belongings in room or bathroom. When shower water goes all over bathroom dangerously slippery . Bath moves . Hydronic heating not working and noise from RAC. Very dirty . No blockout blinds. No DVD player. Plastic glasses in room that were used. No detail for wi-fi or heater use.

Nice staff and good food, but the room itself was quite dirty and out of date.

Staying in the heart of Daylesford was a pleasure, and Hotel Frangos offered a very central location. Having our own off-street parking was a big plus. The room itself was comfortable, with tea and coffee facilities, a small bar fridge, and a king bed that provided a good night’s sleep. The spa bath was another highlight and our second favourite feature of the stay. That said, the room did show signs of age and wear. Some light switches were missing buttons, the room lighting was very, very poor, the credenza’s glass top was cracked, and the shower had visible mould. Overall, comfortable and convenient, but in definite need of some urgent updating. Investing and taking care of this beautiful iconic venue is essential so that it can be preserved for many generations to come. Perhaps the owners Fairwork proceedings and fines did not help

This was a great hotel offering many things, unfortunately this property is in need of a lot of tender love and care, staff were attentive and friendly, Beds have see better days, cleaning of the room just ok.

Suite was very roomy and quiet. Well appointed, but a few maintenance issues such as mould on grout in shower and mixer on sink was very unstable.

The Sapphire room was great, spacious and clean. The toilet seat unfortunately was broken, there were no tissue boxes at all in the room. These were the only things that let down the room.

There didn’t seem to be any staff around, had to wait for someone to show up to check us in. No one working in the bar had to find someone so we could buy a drink!

Great service, place needs upgrades floor is way too squeaky and no cupboards to hang your clothes. Central location.

The management and staff were extremely helpful and went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable. Great venue for a weekend retreat.

Daylesford is a lovely place to visit with plenty of dining and other options. However, Hotel Frangos was disappointing due solely to the standard of the room we occupied. It was very tired and badly in need of refurbishment. Even the TV in our room was substandard in that there were only two channels. A staff member said there was an outage in the town but this was not correct when we inquired elsewhere.

The bed was amazing like sleeping on clouds. Room was mostly quiet except for the sound of guests exiting and slamming doors. Will visit again.

It’s quaint, but very overpriced for the state of the hotel — it’s in serious need of a facelift.

Quite run down and needs a good renovation. Still a handy spot in town. Comfy bed!

Room was dusty. The room was different to what we booked online. No space in bathroom to place cosmetics and the narrow shelf was coming off the wall.. no discounts for food and beverage for dining.
