Staff went above and beyond and were SO friendly. Such an amazing clean classic hotel. Would thoroughly recommend it

It was kinda cool vintage but it is a bit run down. Everything was clean and the bed was very comfortable, shower worked well. And I did appreciate the double glazed windows when it was trivia night, but on Thursday there was a DJ and the pub was so loud double glazing did not make a difference. If I was on a vacation I wouldn’t have minded but I was in Perth on business and the noise kept me awake.

When we booked we didn’t realise that the Hotel was a famous venue for live rock music, having featured Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones and AC/DC amongst its more famous guests. The Hotel has a 1970’s retro styling so don’t expect the most up to date facilities. Nevertheless, it was clean and the staff were very helpful. It is conveniently situated a 5 minute walk to Scarborough’s excellent beach, outdoor pool and many eateries. However, as the concert room adjoining the bar is part of the hotel, expect loud music from 8pm to midnight on Thursday - Saturday nights. And I mean loud, the bass resonates through the walls and windows. An experience, but not for everyone.

Staff not friendly on arrival It was just gone 9pm every thing was closed ,it said when i booked a free glass of wine this was not offered or available, i had to buy a bottle of wine for 48 dollars there was no lift working, the water was not working i couldn't have a shower. The tap in rhe bathroom wasnt even over the sink. It was just an nightmare of a stay . It cost $225 .00 for the night. The pictures when i booked it in the website was totally different. I was so disappointed. The whole hotel is old and dated. Never again.

No good if you want a peaceful sleep - if you are a party person its probably for you

Clean room good bed.

Walking into my room was like walking back into the 70s with the retro carpet and shower curtain. For the most it was a clean room but there was some mould on the bathroom ceiling which they need to deal with. Not the most sound proof of accommodations either so getting a decent night sleep was impossible.

The room was not clean

It has an ‘artful’ flare and a hint of nostalgia about the place whilst remaining up to date modern in facilities whilst all the staff were most efficient and delightful in character, highly recommend a stay here (!!).

Classic retro hotel with a very relaxed atmosphere. Quiet location with a connected cafe and bar. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Had the room 103 closest to reception and was really noisy all night . Even the buzzing of the mobile phone in reception office at 3am woke me up .

The place is ran down, the bathroom was leaking from the floor above, and the place was extremely dirty
