Well located over road from wedding venue. Had problem opening back door and had to use main entry door. Room clean and well appointed. Really LOVED having better quality kettle, toaster, hair dryer etc.Also appreciated lots of mirrors so my husband could shave and i could apply make up without taking turns and full length mirror on the wardrobes meant I could check my outfit before setting out easily. There was an extra box of tissues - we didn't need them, but a lovely touch as sometimes the box on the vanity is almost empty on arrival. Double vanities was a mixed blessing - great to both be able to clean teeth etc, but it also meant less counter top space for our toiletry bags. The towels were lovely - large and fluffy. We would have appreciated a railing in the shower for safety - I'm sure other older guests would,too. Before we left we wanted to watch the news on TV but neither of us could get the non Foxtel channels - would have asked for help had our stay been longer.

The hotel is set in a peaceful environment and the Port is excellent.
There is only 1 menu but it is adequate for what we needed.
I would stay there again.

Accomodation was of very high specification. Excellent evening meal in restaurant. Very informative wine tasting. Only disappointment was the pre-delivered basket breakfast in the room, given that Nightingales has a very good restaurant.

We loved everything about our stay here! The living room opens up to a beautiful view of the vineyard and a picturesque mountain backdrop. Facilities were up-to-date and clean. Our villa was cleaned daily, and breakfast of assorted cereals, toast, jam, juices and milk were restocked daily. Friendly and accommodating staff. My brother was staying in the villa next door and the heating of the aircon wasn't working, and they were immediately provided with several heaters to ensure they were comfortable. Thank you for a great experience!

We had a wonderful stay at Nightingale. The hospitality we received was amazing and all the staff were very helpful and friendly, from the time we arrived to the time we left. The food from the restaurant was excellent and the Nightingale wines and ports were exqusite, some of the best we tried in the hunter during our stay. The view from our room of the vineyards and the mountains behind was breathtaking especially with the morning mist. The villa came with everything including our own spa bath which made it all a bit more special. Cant wait to come back and stay here again. Thank you for an amazing stay!

Pros: Right in the wineries; lovely location. Nice and clean rooms and bathroom. Friendly staff.
Cons: Breakfast a big disappointment. Was expecting hot buffet style. Very few dishes to cook.
